Oh reality came crashing in,

It came in like a wrecking ball,

My walls are crashing,

My defenses are crumbling,

I tried to hold the fort down,

But everything seems to be flying away without me,

I try to be strong,

For my friends,

For my family,

For everything telling me to keep going, to keep trying,

But reality won't go away,

I try to ward off my sadness,

I try to keep being happy,

But I just can't shake it,

I dream of a boy who could love a girl like me,

But I realize that men like that are long gone,

Reality came and ruined my dreams,

My hopes,

Reality ruined me,

They ruined me,

Oh reality came crashing in.
