(The Winter Soldier P.O.V)

I sat in the chair that has haunted my mind for 70 years since hydra captured me. I knew what was happening, but could do nothing to change my situation. So I waited. I waited for that pain to start again, the feeling of a burning knife being dragged around in my brain, scratching out the memories they deemed unnecessary. Sure enough the pain began. I screamed until by voice was breaking and I could scream no more.

When the pain had stopped after what seemed like an eternity, I was greeted by an unfamiliar face. He was a tall dark haired man who introduced himself by saying "You do not know my name, nor will you ever. All you need to know is you work for me, and will follow every order I command without hesitation. Do you understand?"
His words chilled me to the bone and sent shivers up my spine, I nodded in response.
His eyes glistened as he handed me a file, I had another mission. "You will be dropped in New York at 0600 tomorrow morning- your target is a threat to hydra and needs to be eliminated... You will have a 6 hour window to complete this task. Should you fail... Well, you get the idea." He smirked.

Turning to the scientist behind him, he whispered "I trust you have done what I asked?" The scientist nodded nervously, the tall man smiled "You have helped my cause well, so for this I am sorry" The scientist gave him a questioning look as the tall man pulled out a knife and before he could react, slit the scientists throat and walked out the door.

I opened the file- my hands know free of restraints- and looked at the photo and information. My target was a 23 year old girl, named Katherine Cope. Looking further into the file he saw that this girl had huge skills when fighting- I would bring extra artillery tomorrow. Her photo showed a girl about 5'10 with brown hair trailing to the base is her back, she had fair skin and eyes that looked as if she could pierce the soul of any challengers.
She also had a pretty extensive criminal record, much like my own.

I leave and prepare myself for the mission tomorrow, packing extra ammo and adding a collection of throwing knives to my belt, whilst changing into my combat boots knowing that she would put up a fight so trying to dress so I could move without any obstruction.
