Redemption

Screams

(Winter Soldier P.O.V)

I woke up to a jolt of electricity running through my body, screaming in pain I looked around a saw a desk filled with torturous devises and I realised it had only just begun.

When the electricity stopped I head footsteps approaching me, I looked up even though I didn't need to I knew who it was immediately. "Ahh Soldier I was wondering when you would wake up, I can't play my games if your unconscious" Cooper chuckled lightly.
"Now I'm just going to give you an injection-" I jerked away as much as I could whilst being restrained by the metal cuffs holding me down. Cooper saw my distress and said "oh don't worry this bit won't hurt, it's just to make sure you don't fall unconscious or faint while I play" I winced when Cooper said 'play' He sounded like he was enjoying this much more than any sane person would have. " Now now, Soldier be nice and I might make this easier for you" He lied, I knew there was nothing I could do so sat there and waited for the pain to consume me. He started with more electricity shocks but then looked at me and told me it was a bit to 'easy' for his liking.

It felt like I was sat there for an eternity while Cooper stood around me trying to inflict as much pain as possible using a variety of instruments, I struggled to contain my agony but after a couple of hours I broke and started to scream out in pain. At this point Cooper turned to me and whispered "Get a good night sleep now soldier, we'll start this again tomorrow" It took all my self control not to spit in his face, but I knew that would only make my punishment worse. So I stayed silent and watched him leave- if looks could kill he would be 6 feet under right now.

But true to his word he came back the next day and we repeated the process, until we were interrupted by a German scientist. Oh god you shouldn't of done that I thought, seeing the fury in Coopers eyes at being interrupted. The scientist stared at me, who can blame him I'm covered in blood from head to toe, my skin had been burnt, my legs were broken I had deep cuts all around me and more. When the scientist worked up the courage he said "I'm sorry sir, but I think you need to stop, he's close to death and is next to breaking- he is our greatest soldier and we can't afford to loose him." I smiled sadly at the scientist knowing what was going to happen next. Cooper started walking up to the scientist "Are you deaf?" He asked the scientist, who stood there looking confused, "Don't make me ask again. Are. You. Deaf?" His voice raising with each word. "N-no sir it's just-"
"So when I said to everyone not to interrupt me.." Cooper says calmly. "I'm truly sorry sir but-"
"So you heard what I said?"
"Umm yes sir but I can explain-"
"So you disobeyed direct orders? Cooper states his voice still calm.
"I'm really really sorry sir-"
"Do you know what the punishment for disobeying a direct order is?" Cooper says smiling wickedly.

The scientist gulps, "No please sir, it was a mistake, I-It will never happen again" the scientist pleads, knowing the punishment.
"It is punishable by death, my dear friend" Cooper says smiling in excitement.
"I'm so s-sorry-"
But his sentence is cut short by Cooper slicing his throat with the knife he was torturing me with.

Cooper turns and looks at me, "hmmm he had a point... I got a bit to excited.... I'll leave you now. But. Please do remember this for the next time you think about disappointing me" With that he turns and leaves sending in a doctor to fix my potentially fatal wounds.
