Her dark skin made her smile
even brighter. She hid under
an abundance of curls.

A lovely figure, with such happy
eyes. I had never heard a displeasing
word come from her mouth.

"Hello." I made an attempt to match
her grinning face with equal joy.

"Hi." She could never turn a person
down. It wasn't in her nature.

"Would you like to sit with me?"

She glanced around the room.
I could see the thoughts flash
behind her eyes.

After an internal debate that
lasted years, she took the seat
in front of me.

We had a simple, yet pleasant
conversation. It was nothing I
was interested in, though.

I shot her a few smirks and
charming smiles before taking
her hand in mine.

She didn't pull away.
