On Friday, after school, I got a text from Daz: Hey, can I come over today? I smiled. "Leona!" I called. "What?" "Can Daz come over for a sleepover?" "Sure!" I grinned and texted her back: Leona said yes! Pack stuff for overnight! She didn't reply and I knew she was coming. About ten minutes later, I was painting my nails black, Spiffy alternating between grooming herself and watching me paint my nails. The doorbell rang a few minutes later, and I ran down the stairs two at a time, almost running into Skipper. "Whoops, sorry Puppup!" He yipped playfully and stuck his rump into the air, his ears foward. I laughed at his adorable postion, reaching down to pet him, but he darted away from my hand like always when he wanted to play. I just chuckled and went to the door. Daz was standing there grinning. I hugged her and invited her inside. "Hey Dandy, anything to eat? I'm starved." I chuckle and lead Daz to our pantry. She looks through food before picking out a bag of 'Hot & Spicy' chips. She opens them and begins to eat them and I invite her upstairs to my room, where Spiffy was curled up on my rug. "Love your room." Daz remarked. "Thanks." I said, sprawling on my bed. "It used to be yellow." I fake gagged and rolled my eyes. "Such an ugly color." Daz laughed and looked at my posters tacked up on my wall advertising movies like Back to the Future, Mission: Impossible, North by Northwest, Indiana Jones movies, Captain America: The first Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, The Avengers, The Amazing Spider Man, and The Lion King. Plus one TV show poster: The Flash "Wow." Daz murmered. "You must really like Cap." I laughed. "Yeah, my friend Vanessa gave me all the superhero posters. But she knows I like Cap the best." Daz smirked. "Looks like you also like bunnies and wolves." I grinned, looking at my desk to the collection of bunny statues. "My aunt suggested that." She nodded. "And the wolves?" I looked at my favorite figurine of a realistic wolf howling in the corner of my room, and then my huge pile of stuffed wolves. "I just think they're pretty." Daz nodded, and for the rest of the night we talked, painted nails, played stuffed animals, and watched a few movies, and a couple episodes of my favorite show: The Flash. I fell asleep in my Flash sweatshirt, and Daz fell asleep holding one of my stuffed animals.
