"It's fine, I'm just happy that I got away in time. I hope you didn't mind but I used your first aid kit, I had to stitch up a cut that I got while escaping. I broke my window."

"Oh my gosh, are you alright?" Tyler asked, taking Josh's hand in his and he noticed a light blush appear on his face.

"Yeah, I stitched it up, cleaned it, then wrapped it up. I'm alright."

"Okay good." The younger boy pulled his hand away and Josh frowned.

Tyler took a sip of his hot chocolate and jumped slightly as he heard a loud bang come from his front door. He looked at Josh and swallowed hard.

"W-what was that?" He whispered, chills crawling down his spine.

Josh shrugged and got up from the couch quietly walking to the front door. He looked through the peep hole and saw nothing, but noticed something on the front step. He didn't quite get a good look so he decided to open the door.

Bad idea..

He froze, tears welling up in his eyes as he stared at the horror that sat at his feet. There; was his sister Ashely, sitting there, her head was sat in her lap, and blood was gushing out of the bloody stump where her head used to sit.

"Josh? What is it?" Tyler's voice spoke up and he ran over as Josh let out a loud sob.

He stopped in his tracks as he saw the grotesque scene below him. He closed his eyes, shaking his head. "No, no." He whispered lowly, "that can't be real... No.."

Josh sunk to his knees, his whole body shaking as he sobbed, no sound was coming out of his mouth. It was one of those cries where you felt so much pain, so much sadness that you couldn't even make a sound.

He couldn't believe it. His whole family was gone, and now he had to see his sister, like this. Mutilated.

He hated this. He hated those men for doing this to him. Killing his family and now torturing him. He knew that they would eventually come for him.

They would come for Tyler.

But he wouldn't let them. He would protect himself and Tyler.

And would, to avenge his family and keep this boy- who saved him when he was in need- as safe as he could
