"Austin stop I'm not LeBron James!" I take the ball and hand it to Austin.
"Come on you can do it Faith, try one more time here," he hands me the ball, "now put your hands here and..."
"What?" I ask cautiously noticing as her stared at my hands.
"Nothing." he responds continuing to arrange my hands, how they go.
"Austin tell me!" I demand turning to look at him.
"This is kinda stupid but I just noticed how perfectly your hand fits in mine." he smiles shyly looking down in shame.
"It's not, I noticed too." I whisper, loud enough so he couldn't hear me.
"Anyways here now shoot the ball," I do as he tells me and what do you know, I swish it!
"I did it Austin I shot a three!" I say jumping into his arms, embracing him.
I settle down and sit on the court.
"Austin?" I look up at him.
"Yeah Faith?"
"I'm scared." I admit.
"About what shorty?" I look up to meet his gaze.
"The tour, what if I'm not good enough."
"Your good enough! And we're in this together right? "
"Yeah,promise me something Austin."
"Anything Angel." I nestle closer into his chest, inhaling his cologne.
"You will always remember me,not matter where life takes us." I tell him, I know its a hard promise to keep, soon he'll become even more famous and I'll just be another girl.
"I promise." he softly plants a kiss on my forehead,he always does that, and to be honest I love it,it makes me feel...safe.
I can feel his phone vibrate through his red basketball shorts.
He takes one look at his phone his smile instantly dropping.
"I have to go Faith, I have to record my next single." he holds out a hand for me to take.
"Okay." I mumble, taking a hold of his hand and helping myself to my feet.
"I guess I'll see you later, movie night at my house?" He asks, not letting go of my hand.
"Of course, see you then." I quickly get on my tippy toes and kiss his cheek. "Bye Austin."
"Bye." I collect my things and head to my car and drive home.
I open the door to my house and flop on the couch, and turn on the t.v. what can I say I'm a lazy teen.
"Hey Faith how did it go with Austin?" Melisa asked barging into my house.
"Great! I think..." I say hesitantly, looking at back at the t.v. Austin's video "Say You're Just A Friend" ignites the screen.
"What's wrong?"
"I like Austin Melisa but to him I'm just a friend." I shrug my shoulders what else can I say?
"Well tell him!" she yells standing up on my moms white leather couch.
"First of all: He doesn't like me like that. Second: He could do so much better. And third: Unless you want to drag yourself home,I'd take my feet off my mom mom's french couch before she chops you legs off. " I point out.
She steps off but doesn't drop the subject.
"Faith if you don't tell him your going to regret it forever!" she's right,as much as I hate to admit it she's right.
"But how I'm not just going to up to him and tell him 'Hey Austin and by the way I like you!' not going to work." I flop onto the floor not caring if it was dirty.
"Well I was talking to John," I wiggle my eyebrows at her suggestively, "Shut it! Anyways as I was saying he said Michelle is back from Texas, and that she wants to see you again, that she loved you!"
"And?" I push, not understanding her point.
"She like's you, having a guys moms approval is awesome, they love their moms, so go hang out with her!"
"You think?" I say not really sure, I mean what if I mess up?
"Yes! I'll help you get ready so you can look beautiful for Austin tonight,he's supposed to be out of the studio by 8 so you can leave in exactly 2 hours so you get there and hour before him!" she advises, and I have to admit, Melisa has good advice!
"I guess." I agree emotionless.
"Lets go!" And let me tell you just because Melisa is small, doesn't mean anything she had the strength of a power lifter!
This should be good I think to myself as she drags me to my room.
