"I think that's it Mel." I told Melisa, zipping my suitcase.

"Good!" she said not taking her eyes of her precious phone.

Even though she never admitted it, I know very well that cheesy smile on her face can only be caused by one person...John.

"So how was the sleepover at Austin's?" she asked, trying to mask her excitement.

"Ahh hell no Mel,you never talk about John so why should I say anything about me and Austin?"

"Fine! Fact for fact?" that had always been our game, one person says a confession and the other does the same.

"Okay! What's up with Johnny?" I asked, sitting up in anticipation.

"He asked me to go for dinner on our first tour stop! What about Austin and the sleepover?!"

"We might have kissed." I looked down in embarrassment. I had always told Melissa from the start I will never fall for Austin, and guess what; I fell, hard.

"Wait what! Did you just say you-you WHAT!?" stammered Melissa.

"Am I really that ugly?" I asked throwing my hands out in the air.

I felt bad, Melissa was in huge shock. But I was going to lose my first kiss someday, wasn't I?

"No your gorgeous! But you always told me you'd never like Austin, what happened to that!?" She interrogated throwing her hand up in the hair dramatically making her hair fly everywhere.

"I-" I started but was quickly cut off by John and Austin.

"We need to talk both of you!" commanded John startling all of us by his sudden outburst.

What crawled up his nose?

"You guys are dating?!" His voice echoed in my room making us jump up in the air.

I looked at Austin who sent me an apologetic smile.

Wait was I missing something?

"You guys can't date!"

"Wait what?" I argued, jumping up from my seat.

"Thats what you wanted all along!" added Austin supporting my argument.

"Look I don't want sad breakups and sorrows after you guys have to breakup!"

My heart sunk a little when he said 'breakup' I had never really thought about it like that.

"We'll make it work." Austin assured him putting his arm around my shoulder. He looked down at me with hopeful eyes making me feel bad about what I was about to do.

"Austin no, he's right," I gestured at John removing Austin's arm from around my shoulders.

"We should stay friends."

I'm pretty sure I heard my heart break in the process.

"But-"

"But nothing she's right." Said John standing his ground. He stood by me and squeezed my shoulder for reassurance.

I looked up and met Austin's gaze,he looked hurt,broken,hateful.

"Lets go I guess." whispered Melissa trying to break the awkward silence.

We quickly gathered out things and left the house. I sat as far way from Austin as possible. Luckily he didn't try to make conversation. I hated seeing us like this but I knew deep inside John was right,we couldn't get attached.

When we entered the cold airplane,I was happy, why?

Austin held my hand.

He doesn't like you.

Why would he?

Your an idiot if you think he does after what you did.

The little voice said in my head.

And I believed it.
