(A/n: Don't worry, no smut. In fact, I don't think there will be any smut throughout the whole fanfic. Or that may be a lie. We shall see, Won't we?)

"Let me call you a taxi."

"No, it's fine."

"Are you sure?" Phil's persistence to take care of Dan was sweet. But, Dan never liked being taken care of.

"Yeah, I'm a big boy." Dan immediately started beating himself up. "I'm a big boy? Really? Why would you say something as juvenile as that?" he thought to himself.

"Yeah you are." Phil's voice got coquettish as he scanned Dan. This was not what Dan was planning to happen. Dan didn't know what to do, so he went with it.

"Why thank you," Dan was provocative in return.

"Would you like to stay for some wine?" Phil asked as he put his phone down, "You don't have to if you don't want to."

Dan was screaming internally. This is not what he had planned. They've already skipped so many steps and he didn't know if he wanted to get to this step just yet. He never imagined this part to be as nerve-racking as it is. He would be much calmer right now, if he wasn't still a virgin. A 25-year-old virgin. He just never had time to worry about that part of his life. Work consumed all of it. He had to make sacrifices and that's what he decided to sacrifice. Sex. "Uh- Yeah, I would love that."

As Dan stepped in the beauty of the place blew him away. All around him were brilliant colors. There wasn't a single piece of furniture that was dull or boring. It looked like Phil went to antique shops often, because there were knick knacks spread around the living room. Dan inhaled, allowing the smell of sage to flood his airways. It was the kind of place that felt like home instantly.

"Don't mind the mess," Phil excused the empty cups sitting on the table.

"Oh, it's hardly a mess. I wouldn't have noticed it if you didn't point it out." Dan stood over the end table looking at all the odds and ends, contemplating whether he should tell Phil. "I-I have something to confess," he admitted, defeated.

"What may that be?" Phil questioned patiently.

"I-I'm...You see... I still a v-virgin." Dan bite his lip and furrowed his brow.

Phil chucked slightly, "That's okay," he smiled understandingly, "we don't have to do anything you don't want to. So, that being said, what do you want to do?"

A wave of reassurance hit Dan. This is what Dan wanted. He wanted someone to listen to him. He wanted someone who wouldn't rush him or drag him down. He wanted a place that wasn't condescending. He's finally starting to get want he wanted out of life, aside from a good pay. He's worked all his life to get a good pay. But, suddenly he has found himself asking if that is really what he ever wanted. Now that he has tasted what could have been, he's thinking that this is what he should have gone after. Sure, a good pay assures financial security, but it won't assure a satisfactory in life. Realizing all this makes Dan want to lay on Phil's floor and go into existential crisis mode. However, he has a motive to do otherwise. "Frankly, I want to cuddle on the couch and watch a show, any show."

"How you heard of Attack on Titan?"

"Attack on what?" Phil's face lit up. It was time to share his interests, on of his favorite things to do.

So that's what they did. They laid in a comfortable embrace, watching Attack on Titan, and eating Neapolitan ice cream.
