Chapter 1

Elle's P.O.V

Great. Now that my dad kicked me out of the house with only a suitcase and no money, I had to find a place to stay. More importantly, I need to find money for myself. Ever since Mom left me and my brother, we've been living with Dad for years. And no matter how many times he acts like a jerk to us, we still had to obey him.

So here's how I got kicked out of the house:

It all started when Luke and I were at the living room around 3 a.m watching telly while waiting for Dad to return home. Luke was asleep now, and I was the only one awake.

About four a.m, the door swung open, and dad came in with the same woman. His left hand was at the woman's waist and he was holding a bottle of alcohol in the other.

"Dad!" I rushed up to him after seeing him all wobbly.

"Stay away from me, stupid little b*tch," he grumbled, hitting my head with the glass bottle. The woman beside him, Lena cackled as Dad hit me in the head.

"Ow!" I cried and rubbed my head. The top of my head was bleeding, and my hair was messed up now. What caused my head to bleed? Oh it was Dad's glass bottle alright - he hit me till the bottle broke into pieces. Like what the hell is wrong with him?!

Luke who was sleeping on the couch peacefully, woke up after hearing Dad and Lena roared with laughter. He looked at me, tears welling up in his eyes as he squeezed my arm.

I'm fifteen, and Luke's just seven. Yes, mom left us when Luke was at a very young age.

"You know what Richard?" Said Lena, grinning at my drunk father, "I think we should throw these b**ches out of the house and live on our own,"

What?

After hearing that, dad started laughing.

Luke was sobbing silently. I knew he was trying to hold back, but he's just seven. I wanted to cry too. Things like this wouldn't have happened if mom was here.

'Please dad, please don't kick us out,' I made a silent prayer inside my head.

But did dad took pity of me and Luke?

No, of course he didn't.

All he cared about was that stupid woman of his.

So far that was how I ended up being kicked out. I wasn't sure if it was my fault, dad's or Luke's. But whoever's fault it was, I'm sure it was that slut. The woman, I meant.
