-_-_-_-_-
-Travis-

Once the funeral was over I quickly headed home. I didn't want to stay at this town. All the memories where coming back.

My adopted parents waved me goodbye as I boarded the train.

The same train I took when I first went away for the summer.

Time sure flies...

I sat down on one of the chairs and took out my phone.

Surprised, I saw 54 new notifications.

All from Katelyn.

"Shoot..." I mumbled remembering that I didn't tell Katelyn where I was going.

Everything happened in such a rush, I didn't have time to think twice.

I was about to place my phone down when I heard my phone ring.

Expecting it to be Katelyn I looked at it.

It was...

Dante?

He almost never calls me. And if he does its for a serious reason.

"Hello?' I asked in confusion.

"Travis!" Yelled Dante, through the phone.

"Yes Dante?" I asked wondering what was wrong with him.

"It's Katelyn!"

I froze. Katelyn?

"What about her?" I asked nervously.

"She... She collapsed in front of me and so I called the ambulance! She's at the hospital!"

That's when I world froze.

A millions questions flew around my head.

Why is she in the hospital?

Is she ok?

Is she going to die?

"I'll be there, this train stops in about 30 minutes"

"Okay. I'll text you the adress" he replied while hanging up.

Moments later I get a text that says her number, from Dante.

I hope your okay, Katelyn.

I really do.

After all, I love you.

⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯

The moment the train came to a stop I ran out like a maniac. I didn't care if people thought I was weird.

I needed to know if she was ok.

How come she collapsed?

I stood in front of the hospital entering in with out looking back.

The clerk gave me a visitor's pass. Then I ran to her room.

204.., 205..., 206!

I hesitated before opening the door.

Should I come in?

Is it okay for me to?

But before I let my self talk It through I opened the door.

There I was Katelyn, laying in the hospital bed. Her face was a little bit more pale as usual but she was awake. Beside her was Dante.

I ran to her and said, "Are you okay?"

She looked at me in confusion then asked, "Travis? What are you doing here?"

"I heard that you collapsed and I was so worried-"

"Why would you worry about me? You left with no explanation so I called you a million times! What happened?"

I scratched my neck. "It's really none of your concern-"

"I am making it my concern" she replied sternly.

I paused. I don't really want to tell her about my father, just yet...

"Do you not trust me?" She finally asked after a long moment of silence.

I blinked. "No it's not that"

"Then why aren't you telling me?"

"It's very personal"

"Oh." She apologized. "Sorry for asking then..."

I sighed and walked over to her.

"My father passed away" I whispered.

Her eyes widened. "I'm so sorry..."

"It's alright. Now tell me what happened to you?"

She sighed. "I'm sorry Travis but... I lied. I actually have the same thing Chirs and my mother had..."

I gasp. No.

No.

NO!

"Are you going to be okay?" I asked in panic.

She smiled. "It's not as major as there conditions where. I'll be fine if I take my medication. Dante kinda overreacted."

"I swear if anything happened to you..." I mumbled feeling a little sense of relief.

"Travis... I understand that your my friend and all. But why do you care about me so much?"

With out giving a second thought to my answer I said.

"It's because...

I love you"

Her eyes widened as if she couldn't believe what I said. Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink.

Then she started crying.

"Are you ok-"

"I love you too" she replied.

And that is when she stood up weakly from her bed,

As kissed me.

"Okay, I'm going to leave now..." Mumbled Dante.

As we broke apart I smiled.

"You know how long I wanted to say that to you?"

She laughed. "Well now you said it."

"And I'm happy I did"
