I stood in front of the all to familiar place, the hospital.

Every time I leave here I am left with bad news,

Please let this visit be not like that.

My hand trembles as I touch the door handle and open the door slowly. The distinctive hospital smell flows around me, making a shiver go down my spine.

The lady at the counter, who was the one I yelled at last time I visited her look at me with a glare and then quickly look down at her computer.

I sighed and walked over to her.

"May I please visit Dr.Braken?"

She continued to look down at her monitor as if it was the most exciting thing in the world, ignoring me.

"Excuse me miss-"

She speaks up, clearly annoyed that I am here.

"You need to register this before coming here, he is a pretty busy man you know."

I reach for my purse and hand her a paper that our doctor has given us when Chris was diagnosed.

He said to keep it, so that if something bad happened to some one in our family he would go to us. He said something about the fact that he wants to find a cure to this sickness that he doesn't know much about.

She looked at the paper and sighs, "Fine, you can go see him."

I smiled and take the paper back.

As I enter this office I notice a lot of people in the waiting room. I see a little boy, who looks a lot like Chris coughing through his mask.

A wave of sadness crashes over me as I pass by him.

I give the receptionist the paper and she requests me to sit down.

I look down and take out my phone, to cure my boredom and see I have 3 notifications from Travis.

Hey Katelyn!

Katelyn?

Where are you?

I smile and reply back to him,

I am at the hospital, where you told me to go.

Almost immediately I get a response,

Is it that bad? You don't think that it would be the same thing as Chris right?

A shiver goes down my spine, as I read what he said. "You don't think that it would be the same thing as Chris right?"

I don't know.

Well tell me what he says. Everything. I need to know if you will be ok.

I smile, why does he care for me so much?

Okay, promise.

"Katelyn DragonFire" says the receptionist dully.

I place my phone back into my purse and stand up, facing the door to his office. As I open the door I see Dr.Braken sitting on his chair with a worried look.

"Please, sit down Miss.DragonFire."

I do as requested.

"So, what brings you to my office today?"

I let out a shaky breath. "Lately I've been getting this weird coughing, and when I do get it, it feels like I can't breath."

"How often do you get this... Coughing?"
