Chapter 12: Our New Beginning

Levi's POV

The warm glistening light made my eyes flutter. I found myself sleeping on the couch in the living room. My nose flinched at the smell of French toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon coming from the room next door; the kitchen. I got myself off the couch and headed towards the kitchen finding Will leaning against the counter with a cup of coffee.

"Morning sunshine." He watched me get on the counter seating. I just growled at him and munched on the French toast. "Or Mr. Grumpy." I didn't comment on it but continue on with eating.

"About yesterday..."I slowly said out loud. "What do you think Eren would do if he saw me?"

"What would you think Eren would do if he saw you?" I just raised my eyebrow at him and sighed. "Hey, I could list all the possibilities out there but you're the one who knows him more than me."

I stuffes another piece of breading in my mouth. "I wouldn't know..." I placed down the fork onto the plate. "He's always full of surprises." The cup that connected with the counter made me flinch. I looked at Will and wondered what that was all about.

"Come on let's go shopping."

"Shopping for what?" I asked.

"Groceries and maybe to get you some clothing if you want." He responded.

I shrugged and just nodded. "Alright go wash up. I'll meet you up in the car." He grabbed the cup and placed it in the sink, as he left the kitchen to start the car engine. I got the empty plate and placed the it in the sink. Just making me look at the dishes is uncomfortable. He wouldn't mind if I take long right?

After getting ready in new clothes I actually did do the dishes. I got out of the cabin and saw the car out of its parking space. I grabbed the car door and pulled on it only to see Will looking at his phone. "Took you long enough."

I got in and shut the door; getting my seatbelt ready. "Not my fault I'm a damn clean freak." He snickered at the thought as he pressed on the gas pedal to move the car forward. "Does anyone know that you live in like the middle of a forest?"

"Mmm, some do but most people don't." I kept quiet and just stared out at the car window. "Okay, we're here." He moved the shift gear to parking and pulled the crank up. We both got out of the car and a beep ruin the silent environment knowing that the car is now locked. "The grocery store is just 10 minutes away. I hope you don't mind walking?"

"Not really." I told him.

We both started to walk as I looked around. How long has it been since I've been back to the city? What if I run into Eren here? I shook my head from my thoughts. What would I do if Eren and I meet?

We waited for the doors to open and we walked into the grocery store. The air conditioner inside was a massive hit and it felt reallt nice considering the heat outside is insane. I didn't really know what to do except to follow Will. Will was looking at a list he made and went to different isles to find them.

"You know you don't really have to follow me." He commented with my behavior.

"I can't help it."

"Will someone cry if they get lost?" He teased.

I clicked my tongue at him. "Shut up." He then let's out a chuckle. "I just don't know what to do okay?"

"You know, you can go explore around this area if I'm too boring for you."
