Wednesday evening I went to a kickboxing class in the athletics center at my college. This was my first time working out in a really long time and also my first time doing a kickboxing class. The class only lasted forty five minutes but by the end of it I just wanted to collapse on my bed and sleep. Granted I couldn't do that because I had a floor meeting basically right after. The really great thing about the fitness center is that where I go to college it's free for all students and it's really close to my dorm.
In the class I was there with a girl who had been in my rush group. At one point the instructor had us pair up so we decided to pair up together. The instructor was really great and gave us much needed opportunities to get a quick drink from our water bottles every so often. Mostly we just did some kicks and stuff like that, nothing too complicated for the first day. It's something that goes on every Wednesday, and luckily I don't have any late classes that night.
It's hard to really tell a whole lot of detail about it though, mostly because this is just one class at one school. I would highly recommend at least going to one class if you think kickboxing is something you would like to try. I'm really glad that I took a chance and decided to try it.
