Decisions
They dragged me in on my side and dropped my in front of John in the conference room we had been in earlier. They dropped me there on my side. I wiggled until I could get in a standing position because they hadn't tied my feet. I stood there just staring at John with defiance in my eyes. That was until something cracked against the back of my knees and fell into a kneel.
"Why did you try to escape?" John asked in a quiet polite voice.
"Because you kidnapped me and told me I have no choice but to fight for you and do whatever you tell me to." I retorted in an angered but low tone.
"Yes but we also gave you a home, food, protection, and money." He continued in a calm tone. "We gave you a chance to fight to change the world. Will you take that?" I realized now this is what I had always wanted. A chance to change the world, to help my country. I looked up square into John's eyes. And whispered.
"Yes."
