Platform Nine and Three Quarters

~Platform Nine and Three Quarters~

When we walked into the Leaky Cauldron, almost everyone was staring at me. "C'mon Dawn. We gotta go." Hagrid said as he made a path through the pub. The glances were like knives, they weren't nice and friendly glares. They were more like, 'I'm gonna kill ya'' glares.

We reached the back exit and Hagrid stopped. He raised his umbrella and tapped 3 bricks. The wall then rearranged and made a walkway. I looked past the brick wall and saw a long street with shops galore. "Ok, here's a list of things you need. You can go to Olivander's Wand Shop first. I gotta get another kid." Hagrid said as he turned to leave. "Oh, okay. See you later Hagrid!" I said happily.

I began walking down the long walkway and looked for Olivander's Wands. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the tiny little sign that read, "Olivander's Wands". As I opened the door I heard a old frail voice that came from the back of the store. "Welcome! Who might you be?" The man who I automatically thought was Olivander said. "M-my name's Dawn Marigold. Who might you be?" I asked in a polite manner.

"Why I'm Olivander of course." He said. "Are you here to find a wand?" He asked in a calm voice. "Y-yes, do you happen to have one that I could buy?" I said as I pulled out a small coin purse. "I might have one in mind." He said as he walked to the back. I heard rustling and banging as he looked for a wand. "Here try this one." He complained as he handed it to me. I flicked my wrist as the counter in front of me crumbled. "That's not it." He said taking it back.

He handed me another one. I flicked my hand as a feather on the desk started to float. "That one suits you well, it's a dragon scale wood handle with a flame bark tip." He said. "How much?" I asked hoping for a reasonable price. "16 sickles and 28 knuts." He said. I pulled out 1 galleon and gave it to the man. He handed me the wand as I put it in a wand holster. I then exited Olivander's Wand Shop and moved on to Madam Malkin's Robe Shop. I walked in and bought all the house robes just in case I get put into Slytherin or Hufflepuff or Raven Claw.

I walked out and walked down to Magical Menagerie to buy a pet. I walked in and asked for a list of all the possible pets. I could get a cat, rat, owl, toad, baby dragon egg, and a salamander. "How much for a baby dragon egg?" She looked at me in confusion. "How did you know that we have those?" I showed her the list and pointed. "That was supposed to be invisible." She said. We only have one left so about 10 galleons. I put the money on the counter and grabbed the egg. I carefully put it in my bag and walked out. I bought a brass cauldron and some potion ingredients. I also bought a broomstick for quidditch 

Eventually I waited for Hagrid at the entrance of Diagon Alley. Then, I was surprised when I saw Hagrid walking with a boy with black hair and hazel green eyes. "Hagrid!" I yelled as I ran to him. "Oh, hey there Dawn." He said. The boy looked over then looked at his stuff. "Look what I got!" I squealed in excitement showing him the egg. "Is... is that a dragon egg?!" He asked. "Yup! It was only 10 galleons." I put the egg away and walked with Hagrid as we got to the station.

"Welcome to platform 9 and three quarters. See that pillar over there, run at it." Hagrid said. Me and the boy looked at him as if he were crazy. "Go ahead." He said gesturing to the wall. I thought for a second then looked up. "Okay, I'm ready!" I said as I started to run. Right before I hit the wall, I bumped into someone causing me to stumble backwards and fall down. I rubbed my head as I said, "I-I'm really really sorry." while jumping up and bowing. "It's okay, you didn't hurt me, I should be more worried about you than myself." He said.

I looked up to see a boy with messy ginger hair who had a cart and his sister on the front. "I'm Ron!" He stated happily. "M-my name's Dawn. N-nice to m-meet you." I said shyly. "The pleasure's mine." He said as I blushed. Then two older versions of Ron walked up. They were twins. "Hey Ron, who's this young lady?" They said in unison. "I-I'm Dawn...." I said. "Nice to meet you, I'm George and this is Fred." He said pointing to Fred. "I'll try to remember that..." I said. They laughed. "Well, we ought to be going." Fred said. With that, the three ran through the wall. I then took a few steps back. "Try not to run into anyone again!" The boy said as I glared at him. 'Stupid, he doesn't even know who I am!'. I took a running stance then dashed towards the wall. This time someone bumped into me on the other side of the wall.
