To know the exact day you were going to die would seem impossible to you. But from where I come from anything and everything was possible. My life was going to end soon much to my parents dismay.
The exact date of my death was August twenty-third thousand nineteen. A month away to be precise. I had a month till my death day and for some reason I was glad to be leaving the laws of my country. You're probably thinking she must be scared to die at the young age of eighteen. The date of my death is tattooed on my left arm. A sick reminder of how much time I had on Earth.
I'm not scared to die really. I just don't want to leave behind my mom, dad, and my little sister Kenny. Kenny is my best friend even though she is ten years old. Mom always told me that Kenny was a gift sent to Earth just for me. The only reason why everyone knew the date of their death was because of the scientist in our country. My country was located on the outskirts of Utah. The country was founded by a group of people known as the Originals.
The Originals were made up by The Great Council of Pangeda. They were like the President and a King all rolled up together to make a successful ruling. I really didn't care for the government or there stupid laws. I had enough of them already. I mean really, why is the school system making us learn about them. They killed my grandpa and I wanted revenge. Soon they would be faced with their own death day. I just had to wait for the right moment.
