Chapter 1. The villager girl.

(Rhi's POV)

I went on my walk to the village away from my mother or what you could say use to be. Ever since my dad died she cares about me less and less. She cares more about our servant who use to my friend Kate then me. She may even become my sister. I haven't have the best in life. I barley have a good life you could say. I just try to keep a smile but inside i'm falling apart. I use to date this guy named Josh. He was the only thing so good in my life when my mom was ignoring me so much. But then i saw him cheating on me and we broke up.....Yeah. I just wish i can be free! It wouldn't hurt right? To be free for a day, a week maybe? A year or forever! I'm getting over myself right now! I shouldn't. 

I got to the village finally, not saying it's a bad walk it's just long. I went to see my friend Amber. Then as soon as i knock on the door i see her open, hug me tight, she was giggling and smiling so much. I smiled as well but what's going on?

Rhi: Amber what's wrong?

Amber: Well you see i'm moving!!!!! 

My smile fade away. I felt tears in my eyes. Amber was my only friend in this village and my only happiness in the world is going away? NO!

Rhi: A-Amber......why?

Amber: What? 

Her smile fade away. I have never told her about my mom or even Kate abusing me and treating my less and less like family.

Amber: Rhiannon what's wrong?

Rhi: I think it's time to tell you. Can we talk inside?

Amber: Y-Yeah come in!

We came in. It as all full of boxes. Wow. I'll miss the place so much. We walk to her couch and sat down.

Amber: what's going on?

Rhi: It's about my family. Mostly my mom.......I-I....

I began to cry. Everything she has done to me.

Amber: What is it? you can tell me.

Rhi: My mom.....ever since my dad died she treats me less and less like her daughter and she treats Kate more like one. They both abuse me sometimes. I try to feel happy but inside i feel like i'm breaking. I just...your the only thing happy in my life Amber and.....Now that your leaving i just.....

Amber: Leave with me! We can live together and you could be free!

Rhi: I can't. I'm sorry.

I cry more and so does Amber. Will this really happen to me? Why does my world have to fall apart? She hugs me and i hug her back.

Rhi: How long will you be here?

Amber: i'll be here until the ball night. After that day i'm gone. I'm sorry.

Rhi: Okay.......wait ball night?

Amber: There's a ball the night after tomorrow. You going?

Rhi: Yeah i will. Will you?

Amber: I'll be going! We will have a great night! Don't worry!

Rhi: I hope we will. I better get going or else my mother will kill me.

Amber: Okay goodbye!

Rhi: Bye!

(Seraphina's POV) (Rhi's mom BTW) 

I go to my living room where Prince Josh who use to be my daughter's boyfriend sits. I hand him hot coco. I wonder what he wants?

Josh: Well you know your daughter Rhiannon?

Seraphina: Don't get me started with that girl!

Josh: Well we use to date. Did she ever tell you that?

Seraphina: Yes she did. But she never found out you were the prince i did one day once i spied on her. What do you want with her anyway?

Josh: I want her to be my wife. But if she finds out that i chose her.

Seraphina: She won't. I'll make sure the dress she wears will have no mask since this is a mask ball but if she does i'll come to you and point her out.

Josh: Perfect. 

He walks away but stops at the door. I run to him and open it but he doesn't seem to leave. Odd.

Josh: Also remember i'll pay you if you do this. For helping me. 

Seraphina: I have no trouble of doing so. Plus why do you want her?

Josh: Well i want her more like i want to use her and get rid of her.

I smirk. Perfect. I can finally get rid of her. But wait i still need her!

Seraphina: Perfect but i need her for a reason as well.

Josh: Don't worry i'll make sure you'll have her forever.

Seraphina: Perfect pleasure of doing business with you, your highness!

I bow to him and he bows back.

Josh: It was not a problem!

He leaves and i close the door. This will be so perfect! I know her friend Amber is leaving and she won't be able to help her and she knows no one else so this will be the perfect plan forever! Man i'm such a wicked person! Now for Kate to know and we are set!
