Chapter 6: The fight

Monday morning I wake up and as always stay in bed 30 minuets before I finally get up. I took a shower, got dressed and spent more time than usual on my hair. I curled it today and it looked perfect. I went down stairs, mom, dad, and Nicholas stared at me.

"You look beautiful, Nikky" said dad stunned

"That's my girl" said mom

"If I was older and not your brother I would date you" said Nicholas

"Well thank you Nicholas" I said laughingly

I had gotten a text message. It was from Suzy. She asked if I needed a ride and I said I will walk. I would drive but dad took my car to the shop.

As I grabbed my jacket and left, Dimitri was leaving too. I pretended not to see him and started walking down the sidewalk. I felt someone put their arms around my stomach. I knew it was Dimitri. I stopped and turned around.

"You look beautiful" he said

"Thank you, did you know you look a lot like my boyfriend" I said

"Hmm, really, cause you look exactly like my girlfriend" he said

I just kissed him and hugged him. God, he was amazing.

As we were walking. We had a lot of people from our school pass by us yelling "GET SOME".

"I bet it's gonna be around school before 1st period" I said

"Yea, me too" he agreed.

"Oh well"

As we got to school, everyone was staring. My friends and his friends were together. As soon as they saw us they ran up.

"Damn, someone's dressed up" said Kat

"Well damn Nikky" said Sebastian "didn't know you could pull it off"

"Shut the hell up Sebastian. I knew you could do it" Suzy said

"Thanks guys, I think" I replied

"Dimitri can we talk to you for a second" asked Jacob

He looked at me and I nodded as he went. They were over there for a while and kept looking at me. Then I saw Dimitri point at every one of them as if he were ordering them stuff. Then he came flipped them off and came back over here where I was, soon followed by his friends.

The bell rang, everyone walked by and started at us. I hated people staring at us, I just can't, pisses me off, didn't there momma teach then respect cause my mom did.

"Damn, nigga why don't you take a picture it will last longer, damn" I said. With that they stopped staring at us.

I said my goodbyes to my friends and would meet them after school in the parking lot. Me and Dimitri walked to first period.

"So, while you were talking to your friends, I heard Becca was saying she beat my ass Friday" I said

He looked at me with a gleam in his eyes.

"That is a damn lie" he said "my friends asked me if I got some from you"

"Well damn is that all that matters these days, sex" I said

"Yea I guess" he said "and I think damn is word of the day"

We walked in the classroom and took our seats at our science stations with our partner. Luckily, my partner was my friend Yazmin.

"You and Dimitri are going out" she asked

"Yes, how did you know" I asked

"Becca" she said

"I should've known" I said

Becca walked in and took her seat beside me at the other lab and started talking shit with her friend, Mary-Ann. The teacher walked in and started class. Dimitri's partner, Jacob, kept looking at me until Dimitri punched him on the arm. Dimitri looked at me and smiled, I waved back. Becca's smack talking got loud. Dimitri sent me a text message that read "cool it babe I can see you getting pissed". I looked up at him and he did the "cooling motion" with his hands. She got up and flirted with Dimitri. About 3 million thousand times, and every time she came back to sit down she flipped her hair in my face. I was holding in my anger for the right moment.

Every class period went on like that until 5th period, which is reading a class I don't have her in. Then it was lunch, I always got there early. I was sitting at the table waiting for my friends to come in. Finally when they do, Becca comes in right behind them.

She walks past me very quickly, but glanced at me with a look that shot daggers. I ignored it. When my friends finally sat down I was going outside. On my way out Becca walks past me again.

"Bitch" she said faintly

"Excuse me" I asked

"You heard me"

"Actually I want you to say it to my face and see what I don't do" I said

"I CALLED YOU A BITCH" she yelled.

Everyone was staring now. I laughed, looked at my friends and they gave me a thumbs up, I turned back To her and punched her in her pretty little face. Her head went back so hard I knocked her earring off. She grabbed hold of the table and threw herself at me. She slapped my face when I fell with her. She slapped me again and tried to punch, I blocked it. I punched her on her cheek twice, and she scratched my arm. I then rolled her on her back and punched the shit out of her nose. Crunch! I was going for another one when the someone pulled me off of her and I started kicking to get out of their grip, but they were to strong. I was pulled all the way outside to the parking lot, which wasn't a long distance when they finally let go of me. I turned around to see Dimitri.

"What the fuck did you do that for" I asked

"Someone had to stop it" he said

"I was gonna stop" I said

"When" he asked

"I don't know....probably when the principle came" I said

"Exactly, you know you broke her nose"he said

"Well I didn't mean to punch that hard it just...I just...." I didn't finish what i was saying, title waves of tears came crashing down. He stepped forward to comfort me, but I walked backwards. He walked to me but I turned around and started running. I ran hard and I ran fast. I didn't stop to look back I just ran. I ran from all my pain and my problems. I ran from my family and friends. I ran from sadness. I ran from Becca. I ran from Dimitri. I didn't know where I was going,I just ran.
