I didn't know where I was. I had stopped running ten minutes ago, I was looking for something, but I don't know what. I felt some comforting in the atmosphere around me. I came upon a path. It had circular stones leading on down the path surrounded by green grass. As I went further on down the path, I started recognizing my surroundings. I came upon a little church house. I then realized where I was. I used to come to this church before my mother passed on. I ran up to it filled with joy. I opened the door, and walked in. It was just like I remembered it. Three benches on each side of the room, five holy bibles per bench. I walked up to the alter and there was a note. it read:
Meadows of flowers.
Rivers of fish.
Nature is beautiful
Even on a dish.
As I lay in a field of daisies
And stare up at the sky
I pet my daughter head and say my poem "goodbye"
"I love you to death and never forget
I'm here if you need me, if you love me and if you miss me..."
I put down the note and went out back. I remembered me and my mom would pick wildflowers and berries at the bush by the waterfall, so I headed back there and rolled in the meadows. I laughed as I rolled down the hill. When I came to a stop I stared at the sky.
"I miss you mom" I cried.
I buried my head in my knees an started crying.
"Honey, no need to cry" a voice said
I turned around and to my astonishment, I saw my mother. She was beautiful and her smile that once held pain and confusion was clear as day and sparkled like glitter. she was wearing a white dress with a belt around her midsection and cowboy boots. Her blonde curls fell over the left side of her face and her Honey brown eyes shown bright like the sun.
"Mom?" I asked astonished
"Yes sweetie" she replied clear as day.
"I thought you were..." I was interrupted
"I am, I heard you say you miss me" she said
"But how are you here" I asked
"I've always been here" she said as she pointed at my heart. "When you sit alone in your house, I watch as you cry and be overwhelmed with darkness and depression, and I see that boy your with, and when your around him you light up with such happiness I haven't seen in you for a while"
I stood up and walked to her.
"I've missed you" I cried as I buried my head in her shoulder. She squeezed me in her arms until I had stopped weeping.
" I love you honey, but can you promise me something" she asked
"Yes anything" I said
"When you wake up, I want you to remember that I am with you every second every minute and every day.
"Wait, what do you mean...." I couldn't finish because I was awakened by a crash of thunder. It was raining hard. I look around me and I was in a cemetery, laying right beside my mothers grave. I got up and stared her grave.
"I promise" I said
