The sun shown bright through the curtains, the freshly fallen snow glistened on the ground with every small crystal slowly melting in the sun. Alexander smiled, this was his first time ever seeing snow like this. The only other time he'd seen it was in harsh weather at camps or trekking to their next location. It was nice. It was beautiful. It reminded him of his lover John. He looked over at John's sleeping form laying on their bed they shared. His dark brown hair stuck to his face, while his stomach slowly rose and fell with each breath, his chest shown a little from the blanket half way on his toned body, his freckles reminded Hamilton of the snow scattered just outside their window.
'What did I do to deserve a man like you?'
He asked himself, he was full of many flaws. Many mistakes he's made in his life trying to make up for it by working himself to hard. Sometimes he would go without sleep for days, the bags under his eyes never seemed to go away, no matter how much sleep he got. But still, through thick and thin, through tears blood shed, John Laurens has always loved him. And Alexander Hamilton loved him too.
"Enjoying the view?" John said to Alex waking him from his dazed thoughts. John had the biggest smirk on his face.
Alex chuckled, "Maybe I am."
"Well come here and warm me up, I'm cold!" John snuggled up in the blankets, when a shirt hit him square in the face. "Hey!"
Alexander stood in place with both hands on his hips with a cocky grin spread on his face. "Then put your shirt on if you're so cold."
John stood up making his way over to Hamilton towering over him. "Someone looks satisfied with themselves."
"Mr. Laurens you should know that I am never satisfied."
"Is that so Mr. Hamilton?"
Before Alexander could say another word John swooped him up in his hands and swung him over his shoulder.
"Hey! Put me down!" Alex yelled, playfully swinging at John's bare back.
"Never!" John lt out through a fit if laughter.
After a few moments Alex stopped swinging around, "You've got some nerve Laurens!"
"You know you love me!"
"...Yeah I do."
They both giggled, Alex looked up to see John's perfect, radiant smile. His teeth were whiter than snow, showing every curve of his face. The next thing Hamilton knew, Laurens was carrying him to another part of the room. But Alex wasn't worried that John would do anything that'd make him feel uncomfortable, he trusted him with his life.
"Hey, where are you taking me?" Alex asked smiling.
"You'll see." John said with a glint of excitement.
Laurens set Hamilton down in a stood, backing up and looking him up and down. Hamilton was confused towards John's actions.
"Stay here, don't move."
Hamilton didn't even question Laurens' antics, he was like this whenever he had an idea and Alexander loved this about him. John came back with a canvas, a pencil, and a paint palette with different colors on it. Alex knew exactly what was happening. John moved Alex's arms to match with what he pictured in his mind.
"Don't move ok? I need to sketch you out." John said, not taking his eyes off the canvas.
~*~*~*
The paint speed across the canvas with every light brush stroke. A thing of beauty. This was his finest ever. He stood admiring it, it felt like looking at the real Alexander himself. Except he's more beautiful.
"Can I see it?" Alex asked like a small, excited child. The biggest of smiles on his face, and his eyes twinkling like a thousand shining stars. John nodded, and Hamilton got up quickly.
His eyes widened with delight, John didn't know that someone's smile could get so big. It made him happy and proud with himself too see Hamilton so happy. "What do you think?" He asked, sort of already guessing the answer by the look on his face.
"John, I love it!"
"Like I love you!"
They engulfed each other in a big hug, faces close, and no space between their bodies. There were many things that John loved about Hamilton. His eyes, his smile, his everything! John Laurens simply loved everything about Alexander Hamilton.
~*~*~*
The sky above shined with all the stars in space, a single comet flew through the sky. Blue and purple swirled in a balanced circular motion. Alexander looked at John, his eyes reflected the gorgeous sky above. It was perfect. Like him.
"This is nice." John said.
"Yeah...It's nice to be somewhere different for once where we can just sit back and relax, without having to worry about the British attacking."
"Totally."
There was silence.
"So...um..." Alex said.
John looked over towards Hamilton with a smile. "Would you like to dance?"
Hamilton had a confused look. "But we have no music."
Laurens stood up and held his hand out towards Hamilton, "we wouldn't need music. I wouldn't hear it anyway, you're the only music I ever hear."
Hamilton blushed and took his hand as they began to slow dance. They started humming a slow tune. With big smiles on their faces they touched foreheads, they both knew that all the stars shining above could never compare to each other.
