Chapter 3

Hannah woke up full of excitement. She was one of many girls who were eligible to compete in the Selection. She ran to her mothers room and found that her mother was still sleeping.

"Mom! Wake up! We have to go to the town hall to get my picture taken!" Hannah yelled. Doing so she woke her father up as well.

"Okay, okay, I'm up, I'm up" Her mother said groggily. Judith climbed out of the bed and went and made some coffee for herself and her husband, Grayson. After she finished her coffee, Judith went upstairs and got dressed. Hannah did the same.

Hannah bolted into her room and threw on an Aztec patterned skirt and a black leather jacket. She threw her hair up into a cute bun and did her makeup. After about 20 minutes of that she was ready. Hannah had on a nude lipstick, light brown eye shadow, black eyeliner, black mascara, and tan blush.  She looked marvelous!

HONK!!! HONK!!!

Hannah threw on some black flats and hopped in the car. Then they were off to town hall.

~20 minutes later~

They arrived at town hall and were stunned immediately at the length of the line of girls waiting to get their picture taken. We went to the end of the line and waited. About 16 minutes later we were 3rd in line.  The girl in front of Hannah was wearing a dress that showed way too much cleavage and way to much you know what. By the time Hannah was done staring at the girl it was time for her to take her picture. 

"Form please" the lady said at the front of the line. Hannah handed her her form and sat on the chair that was provided. Hannah flipped her hair a couple times to give it some volume.

"Smile" the lady said. Hannah obliged and smiled with her prettiest smile. She looked at her photo and she saw a girl worthy of a crown. Now she just has to sit and wait.
