Never Letting Go

Jax was sitting quietly watching TV in Dallas's room, she had been unconscious for three days, he hadn't left her side more then a few hours, anything that was voted on with the club was done via proxy with another member. The hospital staff was nice enough to bring Jax in a cot so he didn't have to sleep in the hard chair, they had removed the breathing tube yesterday so it was only a matter of time before she woke up. Jax had done an awful lot of thinking the past few days mostly about Dallas and what he was going to say to her when she woke up, he wanted to yell at her for going out with that douche bag but at the same time he wanted to tell her that he loved her and wanted her to be with him forever, because they were destined to be together. But that was all up to how Dallas was going to take the news on being pregnant. They had spoken about kids several times not with eachother and Dallas always said she would love to be a mother. Jax always knew she would turn out to be a great mom no matter who she had kids with, she plays with Opies kids all the time and offered to watch them a few times so Donna and Opie could have some adult time. Jax never really thought about having kids and was surprised that it hadn't happened sooner then now, but he was ecstatic that it was with Dallas, the one person he loved most in this world. He rubbed her hand with his thumb hoping that she would flinch or move her hand but she hasn't made much movement since yesterday when she was trying to remove the breathing tube on her own.

"This show is awful i dont know why you always watch it" Jax heard, he turned to look at Dallas and her eyes were slightly open and she smiled

"Dal, your awake, let me go get a nurse. Ill be right back" Jax said lunging out of the chair and making his way to the door

"Bring me a drink I've got cotton mouth like a mother fucker" Dallas said Jax smiled at her

After checking over Dallas and making sure everything was going good the nurse went to locate the doctor to give the once over so she could be moved to a different room off the ICU floor

"Have you really been here the whole time?" Dallas asked

"Yeah I haven't been gone for a few hours." Jax said

"I'm sorry Jax. Sorry for pushing you away and then going out on a date with that douche canoe" Dallas said

"Dallas that's in the past now, your road to recovery is more important now" Jax said

"I'm still sorry" Dallas said

"I am too darlin', listen there's something I need to tell you and you have to promise your not going to freak out" Jax said Dallas nodded

"Your pregnant" Jax said Dallas's eyes darted towards him

"Excuse me?" Dallas said

"Your about five weeks along" Jax said

"Did you just tell me I have a human growing inside of my body... Wait five weeks. That means it was convinced around..our birthday" Dallas said looking at Jax

"Your absolutely right darlin' , so if you think your getting rid of me now it's out of the question" Jax smiled

"Dallas I have something else I have to tell you" Jax said Dallas sighed not really ready for more news

"I love you. I've always loved you but was just too stupid to realize it, every single moment I've spent with you as we were growing up I grew to love you more and more each day no matter how much you pissed me off. Your the one Dallas, the one I'm supposed to love" Jax said

"Jax, were going to have to work things out, from what I feel and can see this isn't going to be an easy recovery for me, are you sure your ready to deal with all of this?" Dallas asked

"Dallas I was ready years ago but was to blind to see it" Jax said

"Never in my life have I heard anything like that come out of your mouth, I kind of like the nice sweet Jax" Dallas laughed

"Only for you babe" Jax said leaning in to kiss Dallas, to her it all felt surreal, she's always loved Jax, no matter what but this was going to be a big step for her, she'd always dreamed of having kids one day she didn't expect it to be so soon

Dallas was moved to a rehab facility a few miles out of Charming, she insisted that she just goes home and would do her exercises there but the doctor's refused, it had been a week since she was moved and was becoming more and more bored every second, of course she couldn't expect anyone to stay with her bit Jax did try to stop up every other day and bring her things from her apartment that she needed

"Dal, how are you going to manage at home?" Jax asked

"I'll be fine I mean the stairs are what worries me but I'll be alright I'll figure something out" Dallas said brushing her hair

"You can always stay at my house a few nights a week so I can atleast help you" Jax said

"Thanks for the offer Jax, but I kind of need some of my own space ya know?" Dallas said

"Dallas you can't do anything strenuous yet, I'm trying to to force you here but think about this" Jax said

"I have thought about it Jax and I can't just jump into this feet first, I need to take it slow, considering I've never really had a real relationship thanks to you" Dallas said

"Well atleast let me put a patch there to help, your going to need it babe please" Jax pleaded Dallas set the hairbrush on the bed

"Fine" she scoffed

"Fine what?" Jax asked placing her hairbrush next to her bed

"I'll come stay with you, you would purposely put Kozak with me knowing I hate his fucking guts" Dallas said Jax smiled secretly knowing all Dallas things were already at his place as of this morning

"So what do you want the baby to be?" Jax asked

"Doesnt matter to me, I hope its a boy because I don't do girly shit" Dallas laughed

"I think I'd lock her up till she turned fifty. I'm scared Dallas, scared that I'm going to fail at this whole thing" Jax admitted

"You don't think I'm scared? I mean Jax your my best friend, the only person ive ever been close with, you would think I'd be used to you but this is a whole new ball game" Dallas said taking Jaxs hands

"This isn't going to be easy is it?" Jax asked

"No, but we will get through it, we've gotten through worse" Dallas said resting her forehead on his

"Say it Dal" Jax whispered

"I love you Jax" Dallas whispered

"I love you too Dallas" Jax said kissing Dallas lightly
