Dallas sat on the floor watching Alex and Abel play quietly together, even though the living room was on the small side they had no issues with the space thier mother provided them. Dallas hadn't heard from Jax since that night at the hairy dog nor had she expected him to show up and take his kids for the night. She had already called the neighbor next door who kindly offered to watch them for free, she was also a single mom but her children were alot older and could watch themselves so she could watch the twins for Dallas. She heard a knock on the door, wondering who it could be because Kelly always just walked in and let Dallas get ready for work. She stood up and opened the door not expecting Jax to be standing there.
"What are you doing here?" Dallas asked
"I came to apologize" Jax said. As soon as Alex and Abel heard Jax's voice they came running
"Daddy!!" They both yelled as they ran so hard into Jaxs legs he almost fell over. He kneeled down and hugged the both of them
"I missed you both so much" Jax said kissing both of them
"See daddy see" Abel said pulling Jax into the apartment and to the small space they were playing in to show him the tower he was building
"What a good job little man" Jax said ruffling Abel's shaggy blonde hair
"Daddy stay?" Alex asked as she clung to Jax
"I can stay for a little bit baby girl but I've gotta ask mommy" Jax said standing up he walked into the kitchen where Dallas was making a cup of milk for both kids
"Can I stay and play with the kids for a bit?" Jax asked leaning against the fridge
"I guess. I mean Kelly is due here any minute, I've gotta start getting ready for work" Dallas said
"That's fine I can stay with them for a bit" Jax said
Dallas nodded and walked past Jax and back into the living room shortly retreating to the bathroom to get ready for work.
Dallas unlocked the door and slid in quietly. She set her bag down on the kitchen counter wondering where Kelly was, normally she was always sitting in the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee. She walked out to the living room to see Jax sleeping on the couch with both kids laying on him. She sighed wondering why he was still in her apartment. She picked Abel up first and carefully carried him to bed as she turned around to walk back down the hall Jax was right behind her with Alex
"They wanted to sleep with me and I didn't want to intrude your bed" Jax said as Dallas closed the bedroom door
"What are you still doing here?" She asked once back out to the living room
"I tried to leave but Abel threw a fit and cried so much he threw up so I just told Kelly to go home" jax said following Dallas out to the small porch to smoke a cigarette
"Well thanks, sorry I'm late. I had alot to clean up tonight" Dallas said taking a cigarette out of her pack
"You know you don't have any food in your fridge right? Alex asked for a snack and I couldn't find anything" Jax said. This is exactly why she didn't want Jax there
"I know. Gotta have money for that I made pretty decent tips so I'll be shopping tomorrow" Dallas said taking a drag
"It's already taken care of" Jax said
"Excuse me?" Dallas said putting her cigarette out
"I had Kelly go to the market and get you some food" Jax said
"You didn't need to do that" Dallas said
"Dal, just take it as an apology. I wanted to talk to you earlier but the kids got me sidetracked. I'm sorry. For everything" Jax said
"Let me guess Tara left?" Dallas asked
"No, were still together I just have been doing alot of thinking and i shouldn't of treated you the way I have been it's not fair to you or our kids" Jax said taking Dallas's hand. She looked down at thier hands and back up at Jax, they still fit perfectly together.
"Jax you can treat me like absolute shit bit please stop taking it out on Alex and Abel. They are starting to understand more and need thier Dad" Dallas said
"I'm not going anywhere Dallas. I should of been here the whole time I'm missing so much" Jax said as they walked back into the house
"I'm gonna head in the shower, I don't know if your in the dog house with Tara cause you were here with the kids but you can sleep on the couch" Dallas said Jax looked at her. She didn't look angry at him for once, for the first time in the past year her eyes didn't look hurt anymore they were genuine
"I'd like that" Jax said kicking off his shoes and making himself comfortable on the couch wishing that he was sleeping in bed with Dallas. But he still had Tara and he had everything he wanted with Tara she was treating him great. But something inside of him wanted to be snuggling up next to Dallas
Dallas laid awake after her shower, knowing Jax was right in the living room she couldn't get her mind off of him. She hadn't thought about Jax like that in a long time. She heard a small knock on her door before it opened
"Do you have a extra blanket? It's kinda chilly and I don't want to sleep in my jeans cause they are uncomfortable" Jax asked quietly
Dallas uncovered herself and pulled down her shirt she was wearing which was extremely short, she walked over to her closet and pulled out a light blanket. She walked over to Jax and handed it to him as she handed the blanket to him he dropped it and grabbed her face with both hands crashing thier lips together, Dallas tried to resist but eventually gave into Jax's lips against hers and brought her hands up to his hair tangling her fingers in his locks, Dallas found herself laying under Jax as he ran his hands up her body as it arched against his touch, the last time she was intimate with Jax was a few weeks before they split and after not having sex for nearly a year her body was responding to him whether she liked it or not.
Jax was laying awake stroking Dallas's arm lightly. He didn't know why he kissed Dallas it was just spur of the moment. Even though he was with Tara she didn't love him like Dallas did, maybe because he grew up with Dallas so he knew her back story, Tara was a sheltered person she didn't live in the life of Samcro like Dallas. Dallas and Tara were two totally different people and Jax felt different about each of them. He knew walking into Dallas's room was a mistake, the second she came home he knew he wanted to kiss her and he was going to leave but she offered him to stay. Tara was already pissed that he was there, she wasn't understanding that Dallas wasn't there and was at work and he was spending time with the kids. Lately Tara had been giving him a hard time about the kids because Jax wanted to go see them or call and she would throw a fit about any contact with Dallas. Because deep down Tara knew she didn't stand a chance against Dallas and she would lose Jax in a heartbeat if Dallas welcomed him back, there was always something that drew them back together no matter what. Jax deserved Dallas, she was his person, his love and his life. As much as he had tried to deny it so many times it always came back to Dallas. Dallas made him feel secure, because she would always love him it didnt matter what happened in the past because no matter what neither of them could ever let go
