Ch.2

Adam's POV

"Honey! Look at these pair of jeans!" My mom yelled at me from the other side of the rack. I turned my head in her direction "Ehh..Not to shabby!" I said with a grin forming on my face. "Do they have them in my size?" I asked her "I don't know. Let me see..." she mumbled "Aha!" she exclaimed as if she just found a golden ticket. I started to crack up "Thanks mom." I said with hint of a smile on my lips.

I turned my attention back to the plaid shirts I was looking at before when all of a sudden I started to get a tingling sensation that soared through my body like an electric current I looked up to see the most beautiful girl I have ever set eyes on staring right at me! She has big beautiful brow eyes that twinkle in the florescent lighting of Forever21 and straight dark brown hair that comes mid-way down her back and hugs her nice curvy waist. She is wearing denim skinny jeans with a turquoise v-neck shirt and navy blue low cut converse.

Come on dude get it together you don't want her to think you're a weirdo! So I put on my best smile and guess what...she smiled back! Okay man you have to keep it cool! When I was mentally slapping my self the girl that was with her said something to her and then they both walked in the direction of the accessories counter.

So I looked back at the shirts I was looking at and found a black plaid shirt with blue and purple lines. "Hey mom would you like this for my first day? I asked her because I don't want to look like a lumber jack my first day of school in a new high school in a new state -I just moved down to Florida from New Jersey- "Oh, yes honey! That would make your blue eyes shine as bright as the stars in the night sky." She said to me with a motherly grin. I hate it when she gets all mushy on me because I can't help but get all mushy too! "Mom nothing can shine as bright as your eye's!" by the time I finish I had a goofy grin across my face. "With that wicked charm of yours you will make friends here in no time!"

As soon as she said that I whipped my head around to look for that breath taking girl. I still couldn't get the image of her out of my mind! I want her to be mine is that so bad?...I finally spoted her looking at jewelry at the counter she had walked to with her friend before. I try to build up the courage to walk over to her, but my feet don't seem to get the message. "Come on Adam you wimp! Take a deep breath you can do this!" I mutter to myself. I'm still looking at her and right when I'm about to look away she looks up and turns her face but it's to late I saw her cheeks turn the most cutest shade of pink.

I guess it's now or never so I start to walk over to her when she shouts something to her friend, but it's drowned out by a woman who just so happens to pass by her friend with a crying baby boy. So she walks around the counter and shows her something and her friend starts to crack up. She say's something to her friend and then the girl shows her a ring she has in her hand and then they both start to laugh. I'm more then half way there when they both start talking and her friends mouth spreads into a wide grin. "I'm going to go back over there." I heard her say as I came to a standstill about and inch away. She turned around so fast I didn't get a chance to move and came walking right into my chest!

"Woah!" I said wrapping my hands around her waist. Oh, my Jesus Christ I'm holding her in my arms!!! We were looking into each others eyes when she started to stutter "I..i..uhh.." "Hi!" she finally got the word out and it helped me realize we were still bending so I shifted us until we were vertical again and said "Hi! I'm Adam!" with an ear to ear grin. "I'm Natalie!" she replied with a Colgate smile. Wow what a beautiful name!

***First day of school***

Adam's POV

Beep-beep I press the button on my alarm clock. I look at the glowing red numbers and the clock reads 6:00 am. Thump thump thump I heard someone knock on my door. "Adam- honey, are you up? I hear my mom's voice muffled by my bedroom door. "Yeah mom thanks!" I pull of the sheets and kick my legs over the side of my bed and have to dodge bocks or two on my way to the door.
