Chapter 5 "Going out to town with my Master"

It has been two months since I came here and I already have the hang of everything here. I can now clean and garden though not much like Alfred but at least I managed to make a difference unlike before. I was also able to read a lot of book inside Master's library. I'm having fun every day now.

Also, there's one thing I noticed which is different from before. Since what happened at the garden Master's attitude toward me has slightly changed. Now I often find him in the library around noon, at the same time where I used to read books in the library. There's also a time where he let me sit near him, he didn't really talk a lot to me but he didn't leave as long as I'm there. Also, I don't really understand why, but every time I passed he would glance at me and showed me a faint smile. But I really think this is just my imagination. My hearts would always jump out and my face flushed when he does that.

What the heck is wrong with me? My hearts always beat faster whenever I'm near the Master. What is this feeling anyway? Today the weather is a little cloud, which is rare. Somehow I had a feeling that something is going to happen. Something bad...

I just had enough...

Ugh... I need to stop being so pessimistic. I had already left that behind me, this time it's different. I can't dwell on it anymore. I already stopped having those kinds of dreams anymore. I need to get my mind out of those thoughts. I was in the garden pulling some weeds just like what I usually do at this time around.

Sigh*...

"I wonder if it's going to rain"

I stood up and put the weeds away.

"Are you finished, Shion?"

I could hear Alfred voice, I turned around and saw him walking towards me.

"Ah, yes I am. Is there anything I can do, Alfred?"

A gentle smile appeared on his face.

"What a hard-working boy you are..."

I flushed a bit hearing him say that. That's when I felt a gentle pat on my head. I lifted my gaze and smiled happily at him. I never knew that being praised would be this pleasant.

"That's right today is the day we had to go into town"

"Into town? What's for?"

"Master Zen needs to make sure that the territory under him is well managed and free from intruders"

Territory?? So even Vampire has their territory I wondered how big does his territory go? That question aside, I do want to see the town. It has been two months since I came here and I would definitely love to see the other world for once. I have always been kept as a toy, because of that I was usually locked inside some cages or in my room so I really think that this might be a good thing for me.

"Can I come?"

My eyes sparkled as I looked into Alfred with much hope. Seeing my puppy like face, he can't seem to turn my offer down and nodded in agreement.

"I also believed that the master wouldn't object it"

When I heard that, my face flushed. I forget that I'm also going with the Master. Stupid! How could I forget that detail? I'll be so nervous, my heart would beat like crazy if I'm near him. Can I still enjoy myself with Master there? I thought hard and long about it, but in the end, I really wanted to see the town. Alfred had already left inside to wake up Master.

I decided to get inside as well and took a bath. I wanted to clean myself if I'm going with Master. After pulling all those weeds, I really reek so I needed to wash up. Once I'm done I put on some clothes I found in the wardrobe inside my room. Now that's done I should wait for master in the living room. I quickly headed to the living room downstairs.
