A sudden bright flash of lightening split the gloomy sky as Selena Gomez sat in her room, eyeing the laptop which was in front of her

"...But we know that some animals at least have ideas and a measure of speech, and that animals have feelings, like a need to care for their young, remain with their group and feel safe and well. Therefore we should give them rights..." She narrated typing in her essay on 'animal rights'

The essay was to be submitted next week, but since she was dying of boredom she decided to finish it now

She quickly saved the document, turning her laptop off and throwing it aside

"And now I'm bored... again" she said falling on one of the pillows that lay on her bed

She turned her head to the side, observing the rain through her window

She just focused on the rain, mesmerised by the way it fell on her window and...

When suddenly it gets pitch black in the room

Which causes a squeal to errupt from her mouth since it happened so suddenly

"This is just great" she exclaims

She starts fishing for her iphone, which could be the only source of light available in the room

"Ah gotcha" she said exclaiming in victory as she felt something hard beneath her hand

She quickly grabbed her phone pressing on the power button, just to find out that only 2% of the battery remained

"Ok, I should have a flashlight around here somewhere" she said letting out a sigh, thinking of all the places where she could have possibly kept a flashlight

"I remember having a flashlight around this house somewhere" she mumbled thinking hard

"Of course, in the kitchen" she said proud of herself for actually remembering something for once

But did she really want to go to a place like her kitchen, especially in the dark, adding the fact that she is home alone

But what is the worst that can happen?

Don't know, probably a killer downstairs waiting for you with a knife in their hand, ready to kidnap you and then drive you into the woods in a black van, and then stab you with that same knife, throwing your body in the...

"You know what, I'll just stay here, and wait for the light to get back on" she said seating herself back on the bed, grabbing her power bank in the process

The boy gazed out the car window, the falling rain reflected in his hazel eyes

The rain always calmed him down

With soothing music blasting through his earphones and rain droplets hitting the window beside him, he was sure to fall asleep in no time

But the thing was, he couldn't no matter how tired he was

He had found out just few days ago that he'll be moving to Canada

And now here he is, sitting in some cab, which was driving him off to his new house, in which he might be living for the next few years

In his old school, he was known as the crazy-shy kid, and people would obviously keep their distance from him, since they thought he was 'weird'

Justin never really understood why; he never did anything to make them feel weird

You might be wondering why in the world would he be sad about leaving, well the reason might be this girl, Emma. But that's a whole new story

His mother decided to move to canada since she found an even better job, and being the only parent she had to earn as much possible to be able to afford the basic needs of a human being

"When are we going to reach the house" Justin asked his mother

All he wanted was to snuggle back into his bed, not caring how girlish that sounded...

Was that too much to ask for...

"In about an hour I think" his mother replied way too engulfed in her book, to care about the world

"Try to sleep until; I'll wake you up when we reach there"

Letting out a sign, he repositioned himself in a more comfortable position, hoping he can at least try to fall asleep

With thoughts clouding his mind; he finally drifted off to sleep
