Demigod?

     "Micah?" Devin asks " What happened?"
     "Um. Me and my foster mom got into an argument?" I lie. He looks at me skeptically then asks.
     "where did she go?"
     "She flew out of the window." I say
     Then to my amazement devin says "Okay we have to leave now."
     Just then we hear three loud whistles in succession, a loud crash, and then a very human scream. We make it outside to see an overturned Chevy Expedition, a girl around our age with red hair lying face down next to it. Then I look up to find that my foster mother had returned and she brought friends.
     "Ashley are you alright!?" Devin yells.
     "I'm fine!" She replies while getting up and running over to us. I am shocked to see that she has a red-gold version of my sword. "Who's this?" She says nodding in my direction.
     "This." I say gesturing to myself. "Is Micah, nice to meet you."
     "Um, guys we're going to have to do the meet and greet later because we've got some unwanted company." Devin says
     "Definately later" Ashley says, then stands to my left with Devon at my right. Then she looks over at me and says "By the way my name is Ashley and I'm the daughter of hades."
     I couldn't even begin to process her words because at that moment one of my mom's friends flew straight at me. Ashley jumped to the left while Devon jumps to the right leaving me nowhere to go so I drop to the ground on my back and swing my sword in a wide arc parallel to my body successfully cutting the thing in half and turning it to dust, I never understood why they do that, which mostly falls on my face I wipe it off and get to my feet. I look off to my left and see Ashley and Devon fighting together against the other one of Ms. Gray's (my foster mother) friends. I hear a laugh that is halfway Ms. Grey's voice but also mixed with a deep, demonic, scratchy voice. I turn to see that it was mMs. Grey who laughed.
     "Well done honey but it's time for bed now Micah come to mommy." She says.
     I look at the sun that has now fully risen in the sky then lower my sword and start walking to her. To my left I can see that Ashley and Devon have dispatched their opponent and are now Ashley is looking at me with disappointment in her eyes while Devon gives me a look that goes far beyond that. He stands there frozen with his mouth hanging open, as I walk to Ms. Grey his eyes look hurt, there's  betrayal in them, amongst many others. I have to look as not to blow my cover. I look back at Ms. Grey who has been my foster mother for 3 years , the women I spent my 13th, 14th, and 15th birthdays with and almost felt sorry for what I was about to do. She stood there, arms wide as if expecting a hug so I spread my arms out sword in hand and say quietly."First of all it's 8 o'clock in the morning."she looks at me if I was speaking a different language, "And you are not my mother!" I yell and before she could move I stick my sword hilt deep into her chest where her heart would be if she had one. Before she turned to dust the expression on her face as calm, peaceful even but then she was dust being blown away in the soft summer breeze.
     Soon after the fight Devon called someone and they gave us a ride to get another demigod named Monica.
    "Where are we going? We've been in this car for a while and I'm tired of sitting" Ashley says.
     "That's fine sir we can walk the rest of the way." Devin says and the car stops and we climb out. The car pulls off and we keep walking. "We're going to get Monica the daughter of Aphrodite the other demigod I was sent to look after and she happens to live close by."
     "Dev look we've been sitting in a car for about an hour and I still need to get on what she meant when she said she's the daughter of hades and......." I was cut off by Devon who had apparently had enough questions.
     "First off we were in the car for 30 minutes, secondly hades is her father and Poseidon is yours." Devon said seethingly quiet.
     "Poseidon?!" I ask "but how?" When Devon doesn't answer I look to Ashley.
     "Hey don't look at me, Devon still hasn't told me any more than who my "father" was either" she says making quotation marks with her fingers. "By the way if you don't mind me asking how do you even know him in the first place?" She asks.
     "He's my neighbor, he's lived next door to me for 3 years." I say "how do you know him?"
     "We go to the same school until recently that is because he hasn't been showing up." She replies deliberately loud enough for Devon to hear.
     "And how do you know this "Monica" girl were supposed to be going to meet?" I ask.
     "I live here next door to her every summer and I've just recently transformed to her school" devin says as he walks us into a house. "I've been looking over four demigods at once, sure some more than others but four nonetheless."
     "What do you mean by that?" Ashley asks as she lays down on her back on a couch and I sit in a lazy boy near the head of the couch our positions reminded me of one of those therapist offices.
     "You'll see when I get back with our ride to camp." Devin replies
     "Camp?" Ashley and I say together.
