ADREIN’s POV
Letting them go is not the best thing to do. Knowing my father, he will surely be furious about t. But, I have to! Somehow I need to protect my father. If he kills Thana and Perry, both vampires and werewolves will surely declare a war against him. He is a lonely man. I understand him. But I don’t approve with his method. I can see them running in the forest. My eyesight is 3 times better than any other vampire.
“You think you help them by letting them go?” it was my father standing behind me.
“I do hope so.” There is no point of lying because I know he knows.
“Well sorry to disappoint you my son. You just send them to their grave!” I can sense his anger. Then I saw that his men are now starting to hunt them down.
“Grave or freedom… their life now lies in their hand father. All I did is to save you.” I leave without looking at him.
“I just love you so much my son….” He whispered.
HEIDI’s POV
2 days ago when we embarked on a journey of looking for Perry and Thana. Clay doesn’t talk that much. He never talks to us- Dylan and Arriana. The Blondie vampire always relay the information to us. I don’t have any problem with it at first but it’s getting on my nerves.
“Can I have a moment with you?” I asked him. Everyone’s eye is into us.
“Ahmmm Arriana and I will scout the area. There’s a huge forest ahead… it might be the place.” Dylan said. Both of them immediately shifted and went away.
“Candice and I need to find some herbs. I believe I can find some here. I can smell it. Let’s go!” Elle the witch said while grabbing the blondie vampire away.
Moment after…
“They are all gone… so what is it?” Clay asked. Still cold and expressionless. I get hold of myself.
“I didn’t ask them to leave…and…”
“Fire it out double shifter! What is it that you want to say?” what the heck.. I was completely surprised. He just called me double shifter?
“What now? Surprised? Candice is still very young for her to figure it out. We are pureblood! Do not forget that.”
“Pointless! I don’t know what you’re talking about... anyway… you don’t trust us, do you?” I’m trying to make another topic.
“Just because I don’t personally tell you the details and information doesn’t mean that I don’t trust you. But yes! I don’t! I trust Dylan and Arriana but not you. You want to know why?”
“Ye... Yes!” my heart is beating to fast now. He moves closer to me…close enough for me to feel his breathing…
“First. You’re not just an ordinary wolf shifter. Show me and I’ll trust you. Second, you’re extremely gorgeous and I don’t trust myself if I can control myself from wanting you!” I was shocked! I don’t know if it’s because of the first reason or the 2nd one. Is he flirting? I can’t find my voice… I need to say something… I need to… Suddenly Arriana arrives from the sky and then we saw Dylan running towards us with Candice and Elle.
“Shit!!! This can’t be!!” Clay said in anguish.
“What happen?” I asked.
“They’re inside the death forest. I smelled Thana’s blood awhile ago!” Candice answered me.
“And Perry?”
“I can’t see him or Thana from above.” Arriana said as she shifted first.
“I can’t smell him either. The whole place smells awful.” Dylan said.
“Listen, that forest is the place we’re my comrade died 150 years ago. Arianna, I need you to notify both Alexander and Patrick about it. Elle brace yourself. You better get your spell ready. Dylan you’re in disadvantage position right now. Try not to use your nose when you are in your wolf form. It will surely affect your system. Candice you have to use an extreme precaution in gathering the forces of elements inside the forest. And you…” he paused for while, without even saying my name…” your 2nd beast will be useful in this battle!” He continued.
He is a capable leader. No wonder Alexander’s Coven is the strongest among all covens. I am amazed! Time to show him what I got! She needs to focus! Perry is in extreme danger right now.
PERRY’s POV
Before I close my eyes, I’ve seen the most beautiful face on earth. Thana’s face. No regrets at all. It was a suicidal act to shift despite the warning. But I have to try. I make a promise to myself that I will get Thana out of this place. And if will delay them, I am willing to sacrifice myself just to make sure Thana’s will get enough time to run.
My body is aching. I am in great pain. Torture! I think they will torture me as a punishment for trying to escape. I slowly open my eyes. It was dark… who cares! I’m a wolf and I can see well in the dark.
“Perry? Are you awake now?”
I heard Thana’s voice. Heaven! I think I’m in heaven!
“Perry? Are you awake? Are you okay?” now she’s starting to shake my body. And it hurts! Wait! I am not yet dead! As my vision became clearer I saw her face again.
“Tha… Thana?”
“Yes. You okay?”
“I’m not… but I will be fine in a while.” I tried to stand up.
“Good… because we’re not safe here.”
“Why did you help me? Why not leave when you got the chance?” I asked.
“I am not that jerk Perry. I know what is right from wrong.”
“Is that so?”
“Yeah. And you better brace yourself because we will be running again in a while!” she sounds sarcastic but I know she cares. I can see it in her eyes. I sighed… this is one hell of forbidden love!!!
