"Wa alaikumwassalam Moma!" Said Riya with a tired look and fell in to the sofa.

"How was your day?" Asked Sherin by petting Riya's head.
"It was as usual! Had some extra works as well, so feeling abit tired. Please can I have a glass of water Moma." Asked Riya and goes towards the washroom but stops on her way.

"Moma..?" Called Riya.
Sherin turn back and looks at Riya.
"How's that girl?" Asked Riya, for she is the one who saw Shama laying unconscious on the road and brought her home.
Sherin gives a sympathetic look and shook her head telling she's not ok.

Riya gives a thoughtful look for a while and turn towards the washroom.

After making wudhu, Riya changed her dress into a casual attire and prays Asr.

While Sherin brought two cups of coffee and some delicacies she had prepared few days back.

They both sat in the verandah and drinks the coffee in silence.
It is a beautiful evening. Birds chirping all around, the peaks were shrouded with mist, the plants and grasses were covered with dew. It gave such a pleasant view.
But Riya and Sherin are not in a mood to admire the beauty of the surrounding.

After taking few sips, Riya enquires about the girl again.
Sherin says about the minor attack of Shama.
".. I was in the kitchen fetching some soup for her, all of a sudden she started breathing heavily.. I couldn't do anything, I gave her some zam zam water to drink and sometime later her breathe subsided. Now she is asleep!"

"So you know her name or anything?" Asked Riya, sipping her coffee.

"No... She was in such a condition dear." Said Sherin.

"Hmmm
I'll just check on her" said Riya by finishing the coffee in one gulp.

Riya went near Shama. She is awake.
"Assalamu alaikum sister! I am Sherin's daughter, Riya. How are you feeling now?" Asked Riya by sitting in the chair next to Shama's bed.

Shama tries to sit up but Riya helped her to be in a comfortable position and tells her to feel at home.

Shama forces a smile at Riya. Riya returns a sympathetic smile.
"Uh-I am sorry, I am causing your'll so much trouble!" Said Shama.

"No problem. Its nothing! So how are you feeling?" Asked Riya.

"I uh.. I actually.. don't know! If.. If you don't mind.. can I have something to eat?" Asked Shama.
Riya felt her heart melting for the young girl!
"Yeah Sure.. Uhhh.. Your name?" Asked Riya.
"Shama!" She Muttered.

"Shama.. You take rest! Lemme bring." Said Riya caressing Shama's head.

After sometime, Riya returns with a bowl of soup and some fruits plucked from the garden. Shama is asleep.

"Shama..?" Called Riya.
"Ah.. Sorry! Jazakallahukairan!" Said Shama.
Riya piled up three pillows behind Shama so that she can lay on a comfortable position to eat.
Shama couldn't hold the spoon. Her hands were weak and shivering. Riya takes the soup bowl to her hand and feeds Shama.
Shama's eyes filled with tears of gratitude.
Riya nods understandingly.
After finishing the soup, Riya feeds her some fruits and finally wipes Shama's mouth and puts the food tray away.
They sit in silence for sometimes.
Shama feels a little fit than before. Her eyes falls on to the paintings in the wall.
"They are beautiful!" She comments.
Rifa, who's in a deep thought was shaken by these words.
"Oh! Jazakallah! Those are my father's paintings. He was a famous artist, but then some people with vengeance didn't like his popularity. So they... Ummm..... Murdered him!" Said Riya, biting her lower lip, by control her grief.
"I am sorry..!" Said Shama feeling embarrassed.
"No problem..!" Riya took a deep breathe.
