Riya's POV

"Moma! Speak up!!" I shook her to sense.
"Riya! Everything is done! I'm so done. I can never see you in this state! I have listened to you for this long and I don't wanna lose you in the battle of life as well. I can't let you spoil your life like this. I'm in my last ages. Anything can happen to anyone at any moment! Your dad's life's over! Now he is a shaheedh. He has left in peace. So I want to see you happy! You are killing me daily by being who you are now. I'm in deepest of grief now! I'm not gonna listen to you now! I have decided to get you married. And I'm not gonna leave you the way as you wish! Because I..." and Sherin stopped halfway.

"Because you...??" Questioned Riya.
"Because I saw your father in my dream! He questioned me about your happiness! It's a wahi! I'm gonna fulfill my duty. Right after the day I saw your dad in dreams, I received a proposal for you! It's well planned by al-malik! I prayed isthihara for your sake and the results were positive! So your to-be in-laws are coming tomorrow. And his name is Yusuf. Yusuf Ibn Saleem." With that she left.

I couldn't say anything after what she said. Because it's my father's wish. It's the wish of the person whom I loved the most.
My heart broke at my mom's words. But I couldn't stop her but to bear with what's coming because I cannot be a burden to her anymore.
I'm so done with life!
I can't take it anymore!
I have to be my mom's strength. But life's writing another story for me. Two heavy tear drops left my eyes. I felt it to be the last drops from my eyes. I hope there are no more tears left inside me.
I have to just be patience and seek help from the all-mighty! For he is with the one who has patience.
Al-jabbar.., mender of the broken-hearts, please help me through the hardest journey called life. Please help me to get those criminals punished in a ferocious way!! My soul won't live in peace while the world is a place of living garbages mingling happily!

Little did Riya know Allah has put Aqil in darkness and enlightened her life with lightness!
".....and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient." Al-Anfal (8:46)

It's the day of Riya's to-be in-laws arrival. Like typical girls who'd dream about their future husbands and would stalk in their Facebook profiles was once Riya thought she'd be. But things take a vast turn.
With a long sigh, she dressed herself with a simple blue kurta matching with black palazzo pants, black shawl and looked herself in the mirror. Dark circles have started under her eye. She has lost the gleam that she once had in her. A glimpse of her past self crossed the mirror, laughing around. Riya took a sip from the glass of water which her mom kept for her to drink long time back.
She sat on the bed, as if her soul is moving for the sake of her body.
Staring into the white wall with few paint marks, which she tried to imitate her father, she wasn't disturbed by the sound of the vehicle that arrived in the background, for all she thought was about her father, whom she missed the most at an occasion like this.
Sherin, rushed towards her room to have a look on her princess and was shocked to see Riya, wearing a dull dress, with a weak smile thrown towards her, created a twisted feeling in her heart. Before Sherin could say anything, she heard the door bell.
With a huge sigh, she walks towards the door and open it for a girl-who seem to be Riya's age, a guy-most probably the groom, with charming looks and a mother-with a dearly smile, who stood by the door.
Sherin welcomes them inside with a warm smile.
They greeted with a 'salam' and entered the house.

Sherin's POV

I'm so happy for my princess. Finally she has agreed to meet the guy. Though I didn't convince her in a good way, I didn't have any other options.
Now when I held open the door for the visitors to enter, I cannot express how happy I am because of the happenings that's being held at my place.
Riya agreed to meet the guy, a well-to-do family has come in asking for Riya's hand in marriage, and the guy- Masha Allah! So much noor in his face.
With Islamic greetings they made their way towards the welcoming door.

Sherin guided them towards the living area and made them comfortable in the antic sofa, which had its unique design and aroma of the real mahogany.

Herself being weak and feeble during the past days of her life, because of the sad encounters she had to face, this occasion was something that lightened up her heart.
But little did she know about the groom's brother, who was one of the reason for her lost light in her life.
