Leila Gagner lived a fairly normal life. She was a bastard child, born to her teen parents before they were married, and her brothers made sure she remembered that. Her family was a fairly decent size, four kids including herself. She had a a fairly good schooling.
Overall, she had a fairly normal life.
That is, until her mother passed away due to a blood disease. Her father blamed himself for letting her do it, and his kids for causing her he stress and worry which ultimately brought the bad luck upon her.--
As Leila walked home, she kicked the leaves. For no reason in particular beside the fact that they were in her way, and whatever got in her way was an annoyance which needed to be destroyed or simply moved. Tilting her head back slightly, she watched the sky. Today was gloomy -- as it walks was in Forks, and she had no doubt it would rain on her fairly stylish self. Of course, as her father has screamed at her, bad luck ran in the family. Ran in her and her brothers. Speeding up a bit, the girl clutched her school bag tightly to her side. Being late home from school meant punishment. Punishment meant either a whipping or extra chores, depending on the day.
Quickly pushing open the door she called out in a soft voice, "dad..? You home?" She dropped her school bag on the floor, looking around. The house seemed to be empty. She let out a soft sigh of relief and darted up the stairs to her room, slamming the door shut and collapsing on her four poster bed. The poor thing creaked under her weight of exactly 102.5 pounds.
Rolling over, she pulled the pillow from under the messy pile of blankets and used it to cover her face, slowly falling into a dark, twisted, yet long needed and hard earned sleep.
