"So sign here" The nurse pointed to a line on the paper. "And here"
Ezra signed the last signature on the paper and slid the paper to the lady behind the counter.
"So you've been sober for almost six months, that's a big improvement given the um circumstances" She says.
"Under the circumstances? That my girlfriend is dead?" Ezra asks and the nurse nods.
"Well I'm doing better now"
"Yes we know. That's why your being released"
Thirty minutes later, he was in his old apartment, staring at the same four walls like he had before. He turns on the TV. He hadn't watched it in so long. He hadn't checked the news in so long, but he doubted he'd be sitting here on the couch if Aria was found. He flipped through the channels trying to get his mind off the situation when his screen went black.
"What the hell?" He pushed all the buttons on the remote.
"Seeb ysub eht ta s'ehs! Seeb ysub eht ta s'ehs! Seeb ysub eht ta s'ehs!" The voice from the tv called.
All of a sudden, the voice is gone and Ezra is sitting there astonished.
