Walking at midnight
Dark are the nights
Tapping as I go along
Silhouettes of light long ,long
A bark .a thump
Things at night go bump
Feeling a chill on my back
Is it steps behind that crack?
Feeling something eerie and cold
It has joined me for a walk
Does it want to talk?
At that prospect I balk
Chiils down my spine
Not again I whine
Leave me alone I am fine
Do not want to meet a spirit down the line
Walking faster
Steps behind equally faster
Is this insane?
A hand settles on my mane
Wet and clingy
This is a bane
pulls me back
A screechy voice
A squeaky voice
Asking directions to the graves
Turning ,nothing I see
Closing my eyes, falling to my feet
Blurting out directions in a song
A crying ,leave me alone song
The hand goes
My mind blows
Running like bewitched
It's voice echoes out loud
Someday you will see me
it says
wait for that day
For your blood I will bay
Till then
You will see me no more
Want to know the reason why?
Meet me at the crossing of Nevermore
I have stories for you galore
The midnight spirit I have seen
This is the last time
I go for a walk
Of meeting him again I balk!
