*CHAPTER 12*
I woke up to an empty bed. I got up, felt dizzy for a second, then returned to normal. I walked down the stairs, quietly. I saw my mom.
“Hey mom!”
”Hey. How are you?”
“Fine.’
“You should invite Flynn over today.” My mom suggested.
“Uh, no. we broke up.” My mom looked at me.
”Why??? I really liked him? Did you find someone else?” I laughed,
“No mom, he was cheating on me.”
”Aw, honey im sorry.” She said apologetic then gave me a huge hug.
“Mom, its fine.”
“Oh, ok.” she released me. Jase walked in.
“What about Flynn?”
“Broke up.”
“Do you want me to hunt him down? I will go-”
“No, its fine.” I interrupted him. He was already playing the dad roll. I smiled at that. We all laughed.
“Hey guys.” Matthew came in and grabbed a piece of bread and put it in the toaster.
“Hey, when I went in your room, I didn’t see you.” Jase said eyeing Mat. He looked at me for permission to tell him. I nodded and smiled.
“Well Brit didn’t like the storm, so I went into her room.”
“Oh.” My mom laughed.
“Brit, your still scared of storms?” My mom asked me. my face reddened. Wow this is embarrassing.
“Kinda….” She and Jase laughed.
“Hey, it’s not funny!” I smiled and hit mom and Jase on the arm.
“I'm sorry.” Mom was trying to hold in her laugh. I walked out. Great.
