The Mating Convention

Chapter 5

When I woke up, I felt both excited and nervous. I was finally moving in with my mate, something I'd dreamt about my whole life. But on the other hand, I was leaving both my best friend and my Mom. Those were going to be the hardest goodbyes of my life.

I got up and went to my En Suite, having an hour to get ready before Jason arrived. I quickly got I the shower, washing my body before getting out. I the wrapped myself in a towel and brushed my teeth. When that was done I went back into my bedroom and dried myself off before putting my underwear on.

I took the clothes I'd left out last night and slipped them on. I'd chosen a blue and white flannel shirt and a pair of blue skinny jeans, paired with some brown ankle boots. I then brushed my hair, leaving it in the natural waves and applied my usual make up.

As I had some time before Jason got here, I packed the last few things I'd left out and headed downstairs for some food.

"Morning Mom." I said entering the kitchen and heading to the kettle, turning it on.

"Morning, want some breakfast?" She asked.

"Yes please, a slice of toast will be fine." I tell her, taking a seat whilst I wait for the kettle to boil.

She nods and heads to the toaster, entering a slice of bread. "So you ready to tell Jason?" She asks me.

"Ready to tell Jason what?" As soon as I hear his voice I turn to face him.

There in the kitchen doorway is Jason himself. He must of come in pretty quietly cos I never heard him.

"That doesn't matter right now, want a drink?" I ask him getting up and going over to the kettle.

"Yeah, a coffee would be nice." He says, taking my seat.

I nod and start to make him a coffee along with my tea. When I'm done I place his drink in front of him and sit across of him.

"So there is something I need to talk to you about." I say, taking a sip of my drink.

"What is it?" He asks, getting a worried look on his face.

"Well, obviously you know I met Jamie yesterday and he's coming round in an hour," I say with a quick glance at the kitchen clock, "and I've decide to go move in with him today." I finish, waiting for his reaction.

"You're gonna move to Dark Rock?" He asks

"Yeah, it's not that far away, two hours max, we can visit each other." I say, reaching for his hand.

"I know, I'm just going to miss you is all." He says looking down.

"Only a text or a phone call away." I say. As I realise my Mom has left the room I quickly ask him something. "Look after my Mom for me?"

"Of course I will." He tells me.

"Come on, lets go watch some TV whilst we wait for Jamie to get here." I say, standing up and heading for the living room.

...

For the next hour me and Jason watch an episode of Criminal Minds. The episode just finished as the doorbell goes.

"I'll get it!" I say, getting all excited.

When I open it, he's stood there and I just admire him for a minute. The beard he has, that I'd find unattractive on any other male, I think is perfect for him. His skin is super tanned and his muscles are perfect and I can tell he takes exercise seriously. I look into his blue eyes and can't help but get lost in them.

"Gonna let me in babe?" He asks me, bringing me out of my daze.

"Oh yeah sorry, hey." I say, giving him a hug and then moving out of the way for him to enter the house. "This is my Mom, Mom this is Jamie Blackworth, Alpha of Dark Rock and my mate." I tell her, introducing them.

She puts her head down as he is a higher ranking than her.

"No need for that, you're my mates Mother which makes you family. Lovely to meet you." He says, holding his hand out for her to shake.

When they're done we walk into the living room.

"You already know Jason." I say when he see's him sat on the couch.

"I do, good to see you again." Jamie says with a nod.

"And you." Jason says back, moving into the single armchair.

Me and Jamie sit down and I turn to him.

"So I have something to tell you." I tell him.

"Oh yeah? What is it my love?" He asks me, taking hold of my hand.

"I want to move in with you, today."

...

3 hours later, after packing my boxes and suitcases into the car and spending time with Mom and Jason, it's finally time to say goodbye. Jamie said goodbye and got in the car, giving me a minute with my best friend and Mom.

"I'm going to miss you guys so much." I say, holding back the tears.

"You'll see us all the time cos we're gonna visit. Be good and I love you, always have, always will." My Mom says pulling me into a hug, her own tears running down her face freely.

When we let go I move to Jason and he pulls me into a hug.

"I don't care if your mate hates me touching you right now but I'll miss you. He better treat you right and I'll look after Mom, don't worry. Have fun and keep in touch." He  whispers to me.

"I will J." I whisper back and pull out of the hug.

I then get in the car and wave, as Jamie starts driving, till we're out of sight. That's when the tears fall and I don't hold them back.

(A/n, So here's another chapter. I hope you all like it. I was going to update yesterday but I don't too excited as I got some exam results and instead of failing like I thought I would I passed. Anyway I still need a front cover guys! I love hearing your opinions so make sure to comment.)
