That year, not a lot of things happened. Melodia/Musa's mother was still ill, and got even worse. Melodia had to keep working with her dad, but she also made her own money and enrolled in Music lessons once again. She found out that she got accepted into alfea, a school for fairies. But she had to quit music lessons 8 weeks after she started in order to pay for alfea.

After a long day of work, it would be nice to get some rest.
I let out a dramatic sigh, and sit on my bed.
Such a long day. I deserve a treat.

I call my father. He has taken my mother to the doctor, but I know everything will be fine. The doctor says that she is getting better. Maybe everything will be normal again. I feel like a rainbow just formed inside of me. I am full of hope, A feeling that I have been missing.

Father comes home with my mom, and she smiles broadly. "Hello Melodia." She says sweetly. But then she coughs and almost falls to the floor. My father catches her right on time, and her smile disappears. "My dear Musa..." She whispers. I am confused. She never calls me Musa. Unless..... It can't be.
6 months ago, she told me that she would call me Musa in desperate times. She said that the name Musa would bring hope. But if she is calling me Musa, then she is not well.
"Mom, are you ok?" I ask. Tears start falling down my cheek. I try my hardest so I can blink them back.
"No." She says weakly. My father brings her to her bed, and she speaks.
"Musa. That is her new name." My mother whispers to my father. And she closes her eyes.
"Wake up!" My father yells. He practically screams his words.
"What is happening?" I yell. My mind can't handle all my thoughts. What is happening? I really don't know.
"Her heart isn't beating." My father says solemnly.
"So she's...."
"Dead." My father says. I don't think he meant to finish my sentence.
We have our moment of silence, crying into our hands with sadness. It's over. I wish I could be with my mother. I search for her warming arms... But she isn't hugging me. She is gone.
