Soleon: Dark/Steel type.

Alain walked through the forest with his Charizard slightly behind him. Marin was babbling on infront of him whilst he paid no attention.

Alain sighed, feeling like his head was about to burst from her obnoxious rambling, "Marin. Will you be quiet?! You're giving me a headache!"

He said this rather harshly, which didn't surprise Marin but did hurt her feelings. The two didn't speak for the rest of the journey to the closest Pokemon centre.

"Hello. My name's Alain and I'm here to book two rooms. Also, could you check up my Pokemon?" (A/N: I almost wrote brother 0-0)

"Sure. If you don't mind me asking, who's the second room for?" Nurse Joy asked him, typing things on her computer.

The navy blue-haired boy sighed, "A person I've been traveling with for a while."

"Ahh, I see. I just wanted to double check that it wasn't for your Pokemon. Trainers have done that before, you know." Nurse Joy sighed in exasperation of the memories of people complaining that someone's Pokemon were in their own rooms rather than with their trainers in their Pokeballs.

She tried to make conversation as she never really got to many customers but Alain didn't want any of it.

"Wow." Alain said, not really interested.

Nurse Joy looked at the boy confused for a moment before looking over to his Charizard that was standing right next to him and saw some sort of necklace and a multicoloured gem in the middle of it.

She pulled out a tray with six slots, "If you place your Pokeballs in here, I'll get your Pokemon healed and checked up right away!" She said with a bright smile.

'Always so cheerful...' Alain thought to himself, mentally frowning.

"Charizard, return." Alain swiftly grabbed a Pokeball from a clip in his belt and turned around, returning his strongest Pokemon.

He then placed his Pokemon in the tray of slots, watching as Nurse Joy walked off with them and gave them to Wigglytuff, her assistant.

Alain then sighed and looked around for his traveling companion. She was so clumsy and could get hurt.

'That girl can't even stay on her own two feet...' Alain thought to himself.

He walked around the Pokemon centre, trying to find out where she was. He looked everywhere around the Pokemon Centre except for the gardens.

He walked out and the smell of fresh greenery hit his nose as a breeze ruffled his hair.

(A/N: I'm tempted to write, "Marian! Oh, Marian!" But... I'm not going to xD.)

Alain slowly walked around, scanning the area. He was down near the end of the gardens when he heard a rustle next to him.

He turned and went to grip his Charizard's Pokeball but nothing was there.

'Right. I gave it to Nurse Joy. Lives up to her name, to be honest.' He thought again.

"Roar!" Marin came out from the rustling bush with a Tryrantrum mask on that looked like it was baring it's teeth.

"Haha. Very funny." Alain said, flatly, but yet full of sarcasm.

"Oh, come on! You've got to admit, it was funny!"

"No it wasn't." Alain said, sighing for - what felt like - the hundredth time this week.

"Malamar! Use psybeam!" Zach, another Pokemon Trainer, ordered his Pokemon.

Alain knew how powerful this attack was from a Malamar but didn't panic, "Charizard! Dodge and use steel wing!"

As soon as Charizard went to dodge the attack, the attack scraped it's left wing, making it loose balance in flight from the blast and began struggling around in pain as the attack took effect of successfully hitting it's target.

Charizard began letting out random flamethrowers in all different directions. One hit the Pokemon Centre that was next to the Battlefield they were on.

The building began to go up in flames whilst the two trainers watched in shock and fear.

Alain realised Marin was in the building and gasped, quickly returning his Charizard, and sprinted into the burning building.

"Marin!" He coughed out from the smoke.

"MARIN!" His words were muffled by his arm.

His other arm shielded his eyes from getting any hot ash into them.

He didn't care that much about Marin, he just needed to look after her, as he promised her father.

Alain (A/N: *cough* *cough* devishly handsome boy *cough* *cough*) saw Marin in the distance, laying knocked out on the floor.

Alain looked more carefully and saw a silhouette that looked like an Eeveelution.

It's ears, chest, bracelets and necklace were glowing as it stood tall, looking alertly at him.

As he stared at this new Pokemon in wonder, black spots covered his vision and before he knew it, he was pulled into darkness...

A/N: I'm so sorry I left you on a cliffhanger... It's currently 1:40 in the UK, rn and I took my sleeping tablet so I'm REALLY tired. I hope you enjoyed the first chapter!
