Chapter 5 (Pt.1)

May was walking along the waterfront. She saw a few pokemon, but this was her peaceful time where she could just relax and not have to worry about which move she should use, she could just walk along the beach, maybe lay down and stargaze every now and again, but of course that was too much to ask. May heard sirens blaring, coming closer and closer. She jumped out of the way just in time to make way for the Pokemon Ambulance. 

May started running after it. The nurse who was sitting in the passenger seat must have seen May running in the rearview mirror because the ambulance slowed down just the slightest so that May could catch up. The nurse said "What are you doing here?" The vehicle was still going and May was still running so that she didn't fall behind. "What is going on?" May asked. "A wild Kyogre was beached!" The nurse replied. May stumbled a little upon hearing this news, Kyogres are intelligent legendary pokemon, how could one have gotten beached?  May thought.  This couldn't have happened on its own, did someone do something to it to make this happen...  May realized that while she was thinking she appeared to have slipped behind. "Can I hop in?" May asked. "Maybe I can help." The nurse converged with the person driving, May couldn't see who it was. The nurse eventually turned her head back to May, and opened the door to the back of the Ambulance with the push of a button. "Hop in through the back!" She shouted. May let herself fall behind so that she was now near the back of the ambulance. 

"One... Two... THREE!"

 May sped forward and leaped onto the back. With how fast the ambulance was moving, May slid back a little. Her fingers caught on something that felt like rope, and she pulled herself forward. Whenever they went over rocks or bumps in the beach, May faltered and almost fell completely off of the ambulance. As May went forward she felt a metal rung on the wall of the ambulance, and she grabbed onto that to pull herself fully onto the ambulance.

 Once she wasn't flailing around, about to fall off of the ambulance, she was able to take in her surroundings. She saw  a giant gurney, and on top of the gurney, there was the beached Kyogre. It's eyes were closed and it did not seem to be in good condition. There was another nurse in the back watching over the Kyogre and doing everything she could to keep the Kyogre's heart beating. May pulled down the door to the back so that nothing could slide out. May was surprised at first that the gurney hadn't slid at all, but then she realized it was strapped to the ground.

 May saw a little window with 3 holes in it that she assumed was used to communicate with the people up front. My walked over to the window. "You guys can speed up!" May yelled through the three holes to them. She felt the vehicle lurch forward, she hadn't thought it would have been able to go that  much faster!

They were soon at the hospital and they were unloading the Kyogre. May was glad she was there to be able to help unstrap and steer the gurney through the crowds. The nurse that was sitting in the passenger seat did a good job of helping clear a path through the crowds. 

They raced through the swinging glass doors. May was breathing heavily. They were headed to room 5. They burst through the doors, and the nurses quickly hooked up the Kyogre to cables that were hanging from a monitor. May was instructed to help with booting up the monitor, and then she was asked to wait outside.
