Life has never been good to her
as a baby
the stork gave her to uncaring handsbut she managed to grow
even without love;As a teen
whenever she tried
to speak her mind
they told her to shut upAnd with time
she started to shut upclose herself in
building a castle
of all the bricks
people had thrown at herIt was fit for a queen;
But the people never got nicer
And around the castle
was built a wall
to keep the world outNo one shall see
what crown jewels
were guarded in those hallsBut with time
she became colderAnd the people never became nicer
Her kingdom was built on
defensivenessBut time made it rot
and hate made it aggressiveSo she stepped out
of her enclosed throne roomand took the highest bricks of the wall
one by one
to throw them at the crowd
Blood spilled
bones c r u s h e d
but she did not stop
And the wall became smaller,
The crowd became smaller
Her front yard was a war ground
But she would not stop;
And when the wall was gone
she ripped out
the bricks of the towers
of her homewith dirt crusted hands
and chipped nails
the rage gave her strengthso she aimed
and threwas the rain started to pour
It did nothing to make her stop
her hands started to bleed
like the faces of her enemiesso she continued
tearing her castle to the ground
and throwing the bricks arounduntil
there were not evenr u i n s
left;
Her knees met the ground
and her breathing came in
joltsdead bodies covering the grass
and
her guard was down
she had no wall
no more
she had no castle
no more
And terrified
she realized
that she has never been so exposed;Now people could see her
and what she has become.
