Merlin's POV

Was she lying or telling the truth? Well, if it's the truth, I'd have to find a way to the solution with the help of my old friend, the Great Dragon.

"Olethon Kadvoneth Bewdy Konghty" Merlin shouted in a very loud sound which came out from his lungs.

A strong wind came, hearing the sounds of fluttering wings. The dark huge dragon appeared in front of my eyes.

"I need to know something badly. It's about a girl."

"Go on. I am listening."

"Well, she said she's from China, Asia, both of which I've never heard of. And she doesn't look like other girls here. Her skin, eyes and everything about her is so different from others like she's come from another land far away from here. She was found wounded in pain."

"What did you do with her then?"

"I did save her. you know, I couldn't watch someone in this terrible illness so I used my magic to do so."

"Listen carefully, young warlock, legend has it that there was a girl long long ago in the times of Old Religions. She's sheer good for you. It also said that she and you had been good allies since that time."

"Allies? Then why don't we know each other?"

"Tell me, Merlin. Who on earth would remember a friend from thousands of previous lives?"

"So she is like me, isn't she? Does she have magic?"

"Yes, but not precisely as yours. She doesn't have the gift like you, but she herself is the gift. The gift of love and light is her full title. It has been the most powerful human gift that the Old Religion had ever created. I can't answer how she came here but one thing for sure is that she has come for good. You must protect her well. In time, you'll see what things she is capable of."

Ivy's POV

He left me for about an hour. I'd never feared and chilled so much like this. At last, the sun disappeared and the night falls. With a hasty footsteps, Merlin returned.

He hadn't split a word since he's back except that he's watching me confused while making a fire for me.

"We'll have to sleep here for the night. In the morning, we'll set off to a safer place, Camelot. Is that ok for you?

"Of course. I was wondering where I would go if you left me earlier before. Thanks to you."

"No. It's nothing. Here, help yourself to bread. I don't know if you like."

"Don't be. Bread is fine. I like it."

"It's very kind of you to take to your country. Have you found your solutions? How come I've travelled in this place?"

"It's kind of complicated.urmm.. I don't know if you would understand. It's just your destiny to come up here. It is what I found. I believe in fate."

"Sounds I would never find a way to home. It's sad."

"I know the feeling that missing home. Camelot is not my home either. I sometimes miss my home in which my mother would wait for me with dinner ready."

"Sad to hear that, Merlin. Would you mind telling me something? You don't have to answer if you think it's too meddling."

"Feel free to question. Ready to answer, my lady" Merlin said a bit giggling.

"Ok then. When you were curing me, I heard your voice but not in English. What language was that?"

Merlin was in shock. His secret was never to be revealed to anyone. What would I say to this innocent girl?

"That was something you won't comprehend, Ivy. That was my magic which saved you from death."

"Magic? That must be another brilliant joke."

"No. I am serious. Nothing to be hidden. This is my gift and I am to tell no one in Camelot as I would get killed if the King found me this way."

"Wow. That's too much beyond my belief. Anything it is, I trust you will use it for others' good like me."

"Said you don't believe I have magic? I will show you, Ivy."

Merlin produced a spell and at once his eyes brightened. A fire was starting in his left palm and it transformed into a shape of dragon.

"Blimey! Is it real? Honestly, it is wonderful indeed. You must be master at it."

He just smiled and his smile faded,

"You know something? Well not everyone sees me this way, especially Arthur. He always sneered and put loads of burden on me. I haved used my magic to save him since I stepped my foot in Camelot. But I got no thanks for all savings from me. I was always taunted and considered as a fool all the time."

"Don't think that, Merlin. I'm sure you do value him. I mean, you're doing your duty, protecting your prince but only one problem is he doesn't see it yet. But I guarantee you that someday he will be able to see who you really are."

"Ivy, you're right. Maybe what I said was because of exhausted feeling, I think. I should just cheer myself up, enjoying my moment for I am able to serve a noble prince!"

I just tried to smile.

"Sometimes, we feel small. That's natural."

"Yeah, I made you tangled in your mind. So clear it up by a night sleep then. Good night, Ivy" I saw a piece of tear on his cheek. It was hurt in a way.

"Good night, Merlin." I tried my best to comfort him with a smile though I know I couldn't.

Seeing Merlin look back for me,

"And thank you."

I had never slept in a forest, but nothing feared me because there was a fire before us and I had Merlin not far from my side.

I felt most secure incredibly.
