Chapter 2

The Hogwarts Express

You walk along the carriage of the train looking for somewhere to sit.
The trolly witch approaches you
"Anything from the trolley dear?" She asks.
"No thank you." You say smiling at her
You continue on your way most of the compartments are full and consist of older students who probably don't want to be associated with a first year.
You finally come to a compartment with only two boys one with platinum blonde hair and the other is the boy from the platform.
You knock on the door and slightly open it
They both look at you
"Do you have room for one more?" You ask shyly.
"Yes!" Says the blonde boy
"No." Says the other
The blonde boy looks at the other boy disappointed then looks back at you.
"He's only joking aren't you Albus?"
"Yeah I guess." Albus mumbles
You take a seat next to the blonde boy.
He looks at you enthused
"So you're a first year like us huh."
"Yep." You reply
"What's your name?" He asks
"I'm Scorpius Malfoy and that's Albus Potter." He says smiling
"I'm Katie Mills." You answer
"It's nice to meet you Katie. Would you like a chocolate frog?" Scorpius asks you
You give him a quizzical look
"A what?"
"A chocolate frog, it's chocolate enchanted to look like a frog and it comes with a wizard or witch card." He says handing you one.
You open it and it jumps right off your lap and out the door.
"Aww it got away." Scorpius says.
"I'm sorry." You say
"It's okay we got loads more. Who'd you get on your card?"
You look down at your card
"Umm Harry Potter. Who's Harry Potter?" You ask.
Albus chokes on the candy he's eating and Scorpius looks at you in complete shock.
"How do you not know who Harry Potter is?" Scorpius asks.
"Well my mom and I moved here from America not that long ago." You say
"Well that explains everything." Albus says
"What do you mean?" You ask offended
"I just mean your accent it's different." Albus says.
Turning your attention back to Scorpius
"What's so important about Harry Potter?"
"He only defeated the darkest wizard of all time Lord Voldemort and saved the world, also he's Albus's dad." Scorpius says.
"Good to know." You say.
Time goes by quickly and pretty soon it's time for you to change into your robes you go to the bathroom while the boys change in the compartment.
When you get to the compartment you close your eyes and knock on the door.
"Is it safe to come in?" You ask.
Laughing and opening the door for you Scorpius says "Yes it is."
You sit down next to Scorpius again.
"What house do you think you'll be sorted into?" You ask them.
"Most likely Slytherin." Says Scorpius
"Does it really matter. Asks Albus
"No I suppose not." You say
"Why do you think you'll be in Slytherin Scorpius." You ask.
"All Malfoy's are sorted into Slytherin." He says sadly.
"Well maybe you'll be the first to break tradition." You say.
He smiles at you sympathetically
"Wanna hear something my mom's drilled into my head since I got my Hogwarts letter?"
"Sure." Albus says
You clear your throat.
"Not all Gryffindor's are brave, not all Hufflepuff's are kind, not all Ravenclaw's are wise, and not all Slytherin's are mean."
They both look at you
"It's silly I know but she doesn't  want me to judge people by what house they're in." You say.
"Actually it's really good advice." Scorpius says.
Suddenly there's a jolt and you almost face plant on the floor thankfully Scorpius grabs your arm.
"I guess we've arrived." Says Albus.
"Hey guys before we leave we should take a picture together." You suggest pulling out a camera.
"Whoa where'd you get that?" Scorpius asks.
"My mom gave it to me she even enchanted it so the battery never dies and the memory is endless." You say beaming
You grab Albus so he's on your left and Scorpius is on your right then hold the camera in front of you.
"Say Hogwarts!" You say.
"Hogwarts!" Scorpius says.
Albus just stares blankly as the flash goes off.
"I wanna see." Scorpius says enthusiastically.
"Okay." You say lowering the camera so you all can see it.
"It came out really good except Albus looks like a grumpy old man." You say Scorpius laughs.
Someone taps on the door to the compartment and points down the hall where almost everyone is.
"We better go." Albus says.
All three of you get up and walk off the train.
