Best Friends

By definition, a best friend is "a person's closet friend." The thing is, a best friend is so much more than just bring a friend. A best friend is someone you can trust your deepest secrets with. Share all of your pain and thoughts with them. They won't judge you unless you ask them too and they would never abandon you. They are practically a sibling to you, they're usually that close.

Best friends help you with relationships, somehow seeing all of the signs for a successful one or a failed one. If you need advice, a best friend is there to listen and give it. They want to be there. They love you (not in that way though) and will help you with whatever you need unless it will harm you in the long way.

They would never purposely try to harm you in any way. If they do, they aren't your best friend but a fake. That's the thing with humans. So many of us are good at faking while others are naive and trusting. Many trust the wrong people which will never end good.

Usually if your best friend dislikes someone you like, they would have a reason. When liking someone, you sometimes ignore their flaws, only seeing what you want to see. A best friend will be there to make sure to steer you away from the bad ones and make sure the ones that treat you well stay. But just because they are like this, doesn't mean you're off the hook either.

You're also a best friend, meaning you have to also stick by your promises, stay loyal and not expose any secrets unless it can harm them. Even if they say not to tell their parents (or guardians), if it will effect them in the long run, tell. They may be mad now, but don't let them do drugs or commit suicide which are examples of things to tell.

Notice the signs. Don't be stuck in your own world. The same goes for your best friend too. If they are in their own Wonderland, ask them to listen. To help. A best friend is someone who is there through thick and thin and won't leave you.

They are your best friend.
