“Hey Jeongguk!!” It was 6am and Jimin was far too excited. How any reasonable person can find the energy to be so loud so early was beyond the maknae, and it was with a drawn out sigh that he looked up his phone.

“What.” Seriously, schedule or not, no one should have to deal with Park Jimin at such hours. 

“We’re wearing couple shoes!” Jimin’s cheery energy was obnoxious. Nonetheless Jeongguk glanced down at their boots (which were indeed matching) and back up to Jimin’s excited face.

“… You do know that practically all the members own timberlands.” The maknae said, a long-suffering look plastered on his face.

“Mm, but only we’re wearing them today, which makes them couple shoes~” Jimin said, neglecting to add ‘because I forcefully convinced Namjoon hyung not to wear his.’

“They’re not couple shoes.” Considering the conversation closed, Jeongguk proceeded to ignore Jimin. But, an unconvinced Jimin proceeded to sit beside the younger and pester him with requests to “take a photo with me~” and assertions that “I’m your HYUNG; you should do what I say” and eventually “kookie pleaseeeee~ I’ll buy you meat”. Pleading puppy eyes were used too, but no avail.

Just as Jeongguk was opening his mouth for a witheringly sassy retort, too-jovial-for-6am-part-two arrived in the form of Jung Hoseok.

“Omoooo~ my dongsaengs are too cute! Look at your shoes~”

Jeongguk barely had time to pull up a smirk and peace sign (the noonas love it) before Hobi had taken a picture of the pair. Hoseok then giggled nauseatingly as he no doubt uploaded it to every SNS he could think of. Jimin leapt up and watched intently over Hoseok’s shoulder (tippy toes were required).

Jeongguk sighed, eyes shut and forehead resting elegantly on his fingers (in case of anymore paparazzi band mates), listening to the sounds of dumb and dumber laughing and exclaiming. And then watching as they danced and sang along to Bigbang Sunbaenims.  And why wasn’t Jimin asking Jeongguk to dance too?! This is their jam. Whatever.  Jeongguk wasvery absorbed in checking twitter. And he supposed it was a cute photo.

The next day Jimin found a small box on his pillow. Reading the accompanying post it note, he grinned (internally fist-pumping the air).
