Have you ever imagined what life would be like after an apocalypse? Like, if there would be any people left to continue the human race and survive? Have you ever wondered how we would handle an appending apocalypse? Or if we would all just die with the planet and nothing would remain of us? Have you ever wondered if the world would break out in a nuclear war that ended destroying it almost completely, along with most of the world's population?
That's exactly what happened. The last days of the Old World were spent in chaos and war-everyone fighting for sole power over the entire world's population. Without thinking of the consequences, leaders of the major countries had decided it was time to bring out the biggest guns in war history: the nuclear bombs. And so they did, ignorant to the fact the bombs had the power to destroy most, or all, of the world. And for what; what would they gain from bombing their enemies with nukes? Nothing-absolutely nothing. Why? Because their decision to use nukes had cost them their lives-and most of the world's population's lives.
After the Nuclear War-also called the Great War-there was barely anything left. Multiple cities and civilizations had been wiped out and utterly destroyed. The landscape of the world was now barren, the terrain harsh and dangerous. There was a scarceness of food in multiple places, and so the remaining people would go out and hunt. Soon, an instinct for survival at whatever cost had kicked in; people started to kill others over food, water, clothing and other supplies they needed to survive. The world had become a person's worst nightmare: a dangerous, angry, death-filled, harsh world, as the remaining people had started to lose their humanity.
But there were-luckily-some people who had been able to keep a hold on their humanity and their memories of what the world was like before the War. People who had done everything they could to survive in the early days of the New World without killing anyone unless it was absolutely necessary. They had been able to hold onto just enough of their humanity to start rebuilding cities and civilizations, to give remaining, starving wanderers a place to live.
But just because new civilizations were being built didn't mean people would start becoming civil again. After all, in a world like this, you have to do whatever you can survive because it's every man for himself.
