"It, It just ends," said Natasha, looking at Steve.
"How can a trail just end," asked Steve, "There's no trace of them at all?" Natasha shook her head with a shrug of her shoulders. Steve sighed and let his head hang. Natasha looked at him and felt sad for the guy. He found his best friend and found a teammate still alive...then nothing.
"They have to be out there somewhere. They can't get too far too soon or else they possibility of someone spotting Bucky would increase," Steve muttered, lifting his head.
"There hasn't been any suspicious sightings in the surrounding states," said Natasha, "They've gone off the grid."
Steve looked at her, "But they're out there."
"And we have more important matters to face with," she countered, "Listen, I know Bucky is your best friend. I know you want to bring Jess back. But right now, we have to deal with the problems at hand. Intelligence has found multiple Hydra bases throughout the US and over seas. Our agents have dug through their encrypted files and they may be experimenting on human test subjects." Steve remained quiet, his mind had gone deep into thought. Natasha sighed, looking down at the floor. What else did she have to say to get Steve to cooperate?
"Steve, we will find them. But it maybe only when they're ready to be found," Natasha said. Steve let out a visible sigh. He lifted his head and looked at her, knowing that she had a point. While Bucky and Jess were important, there were more important matters that needed to be dealt with immediately.
"I know. I just don't want to lose my friends again," he said, his voice low. Natasha gave him a small smile.
Steve stood up from his seat, "So what exactly do we know about these experiments?"

Another week was down and things felt a bit more relaxed. Bucky had started joking, smiling, and being himself which was an awesome sight to see. I had been tinkering with the record player for the past few days. It still worked but it still bugged out at times.
"Jess!"
I stood up from the floor and walked out to the living room.
"What's wrong," I asked. Bucky waved his hand at me.
"Nothing," he said, "But there's something we need to do."
I sighed, "Are you talking about training?" He nodded at me with a small smile.
"Let's go," he said, motioning me to walk over to him. I rolled my eyes and made my way over to him. He held the door open, letting me step out first before following close behind.
"So what's the drill for today," I asked, jogging in place to warm up my body.
"Thinking we start off with cardio. Maybe move over to some combative work afterwards," he stated, shaking out his arms.
"You just want to see me die today," I laughed, grabbing onto my right ankle to stretch out my leg. He looked down at me and gave me a wink.
"Try to keep up." Then he took off like Flash. I sprinted after him, running fast enough to get right beside. He glanced over at me, both of us breathing hard as we weaved through the trees.
"You're turn," I breathed out, picking up my pace. I heard him give out an breathy laugh from behind me. I glanced over my shoulder to see him creeping up behind me. I turned back around, pushing myself to run faster and stay in the lead. But it felt like no matter how hard I ran, he was right at my heels. I kept stepping out in front of him to keep him from passing me.
