Chapter 1:
New Girl
•••
»Garroth«
I didn't remember much of her. I didn't remember how she looked like or the way she spoke or even the smile on her face. It's been a long time since I've last seen her. All I can recall is that she has caramel brown eyes. The ones you can just melt into. Other than that, my memory of her is just a blur. It's been seven years after all.
•••
I quietly sat in the middle row of desks in the classroom. Listening to boring Mrs. Emmalyn talk about some stupid history lesson, that I really didn't care about. I chewed on the end of my blue pencil, leaving it with chew marks on it. Suddenly, our principal, Mr. Chad (YEEEEEE CHAD IS DAH PRINCIPALLLL XD) came in and walked over to Mrs. Emmalyn. He whispered something in her ear, although I couldn't make out what he said. She just nodded, and Mr.Chad gave a quick gesture to the door, signaling for someone to come. Just then, a girl with long raven black hair came through the doorway, holding some books and a backpack around her back. She gave out a smile to the class. Mr. Chad started to talk.
"Class, this is Aphmau Ambrose, a new student." He cheerful smiled. (OML IM ORIGINAL I USED A DIFFERENT LAST NAME FOR APHMAU XDDD)
The girl, or 'Aphmau' softly smiled once more and waved to the class. Suddenly, I feel someone nudge the side of my arm. I looked to my left seeing one of my friends, Laurance, with a smirk on his little 'innocent' face.
"She pretty cute, isn't she?" He looked dazed.
I roll my eyes at him, really not caring if he thought she was cute. I can tell he wanted to say something else. Well, he was tugging on my sleeve like a child trying to get attention. I flicked his arm away, focusing on the girl at the front of the class. She gazed around the room, her eyes landing on mine, staring straight at me. I move my head away, not wanting to look at her again, Just then, I noticed that there was an empty desk to my right.
Is she gonna sit next to me?....Hm... For some reason, she seems vaguely familiar....I haven't even met her, though.
As I was in my thoughts, I hear my name being said.
"You may sit next to Garroth." Mrs. Emmayln's eyes looked at me.
"Uh..who?" Aphmau asked.
She points at me, my eyes shift to the desk next to me. I hear her footsteps as she comes closer and closer. She placed her stuff down on the desk, then putting her backpack around the chair, hanging it up. I softly close my eyes, turning my head so that it was now facing the front of the class, and then I opened them again. Aphmau sat down, as Mrs. Emmalyn continued on with the lesson.
The class ended, and I quickly started to make my way out of class, really not wanting to talk to anyone. Knowing Mrs. Emmayln, she probably was going to stop me to ask to show around the new girl. Which I really didn't want to do. Mainly cause I didn't like...how do I put this, associating with people who I have no concern of what so ever. Atlas, I was stopped, just as I thought.
"Mr. Ro'meave." She stopped me.
I sighed loudly, turning around to face Mrs.Emmalyn and Aphmau, with an innocent look on her face. Her eyes were glued right onto me, almost like a camera following you, if that makes sense to you.
"Yes?" I ask through my teeth, really not wanting to show this girl around. I am a stubborn person after all, and I don't deny that I am.
Mrs Emmayln's eyes just stared intently at me, as she knew that I knew what she wanted me to do. Once again, I sighed. I gestured Aphmau to follow me, which she did. Once we made a little further away from the classroom, she started to talk.
"Your name is Garroth, eh?" She asked, her voice was soft. I only nodded. I look over the fairly short girl.
"Listen, Aphmau right?" She nodded.
"Okay, I really don't want to do this. So, let's make this a quick tour so I can leave." As I said that her eyes were glued to mine.
"For someone who lives in Pheonix Drop, your quite rude." She mutters.
"How so?" I ask, sort of bitterly.
"Well, everyone I have met here so far is very nice, and I've heard that mostly everyone you met here is anyways that way, but you....." She trailed off, but then continued to talk.
"You different. That's why I'm determined to make you my friend!" She smiles.
Friend?....It's been awhile since I've heard that.
Yes I have 'friends' but it's more like they forced me to be friends since apparently I looked 'lonely' which really didn't matter to me, since I was used to being alone.
"Yeah, you have fun with that. I'm afraid you're gonna have a hard time doing that, though." I started to walk, leaving her to run up next to me. I could feel her look at me when she was next to me again.
"Let's just get over with this tour." I mumbled as she nodded.
☆☆☆ ( means time skip .3.)
Finally, the tour with Aphmau was over, which I was happy about, and classes flew by pretty quickly, leaving it time to go to lunch. I made my way to the screaming, talking, chatting, laughing filled room, spotting the table I usually sit with, with my friends. As I approach the table, I noticed a black haired girl. Correction, the short black haired girl, sitting all alone at an empty table. I started to feel..sorta bad for her. Another sigh comes over me as I walk in her direction.
"Hey, Aphmau." Her head lifts up, leaving me staring into her caramel eyes.
Her eyes... just like that girl I used to know....
"O-oh Hi." She softly smiles.
"Haven't you made any friends?" She shakes her head.
I stuff my free hand into my pocket, while the other one was holding a tray of food.
"Come, sit with us." I said as a turned around and closed my eyes.
"But, this doesn't mean we are friends." I said opening my eyes again.
It was silence so I assume she nodded. I heard her pick up her stuff and walk next to me. We walked over to the table where Laurance, Dante, Katelyn, Kawaii~Chan, and Travis were sitting at. They were probably talking about something that has no concern to me. I see Laurance look at me and Aphmau. I sighed. (Garroth sighs too much ._. xD)
"Looky what we have here." Laurance chants.
I roll my eyes.
"The only reason I brought her in because she was sitting at an empty table. I have no intention of being her 'friend'." I say.
"Whatever, bro."
I sit down. I look over, seeing Aphmau still standing. Kawaii~Chan tells her to sit next to her, which makes her smile. They start talking, which soon turn into everyone having a big conversation with her. Of course, I don't talk. You probably know why. I don't have any concern for her. And I probably won't ever have any concern for her.
Yet, she does seem familiar.
Too familiar....
