Chapter 6 - The Date

"Well look who's here" David rolled his eyes.

"Have you kissed my daughter again?" David added.

"No" Hook said, awkwardly.

"You better not have" David growled.

"You said as long as Emma's happy we'd be happy" Mary Margaret argued.

David nodded reluctantly, as Mary Margaret began to make hot chocolate. He went over and began to make the tree stand. They all then decorated the tree together. Hook looked over to see Henry fail to reach a high branch. Hook smiled, lifting Henry off his feet so he could reach it. Emma noticed, smiling as well. They took a brake to drink some hot chocolate, then finished decorating the tree. When they were done, it looked beautiful.

"It's beautiful!" Mary Margaret smiled.

Everyone nodded.

"I think I'm going to head out and buy a few Christmas presents" Emma said.

Hook looked at her, hoping to come. She shook her head, grabbed her keys and coat, and left. While she was gone Henry taught Hook how to play Jenga. When Emma returned with bags, Hook had an idea. He knew exactly what to get Emma for Christmas. He took all the money he had, which was not a lot, and ran to the store. Emma was wrapping present upstairs. She bought Henry a real sword (the things you find in Storybrooke), Mary Margaret a cute hat, David a belt, and Hook a long black pea coat. She still had more presents to buy everyone. Meanwhile, Hook was buying Emma a diamond pirate wheel necklace. He placed it in a purple box and tied light red ribbon around it. He then snuck it into their house in his pocket. Emma would know what it was by the box. Jewelry. They all were now sitting around a fire in the fireplace and watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Halfway through the movie, Emma's phone rang. She walked outside the apartment, answering it.

"Hello?"

"Hey Emma! It's Ruby!" Ruby said.

"Is this about the date?" Emma rolled her eyes.

"Whale said yes! He said he'd go on a double date with me tonight at nine" Ruby cheered.

"That's great!" Emma smiled.

"So?" Ruby asked.

"I guess we'll go. Nine tonight?" Emma asked.

"Yep! Meet us at the fancy resteraunt next to Gold's shop" Ruby smiled, hanging up.

Emma walked back inside.

"Hook, you're coming shopping with me" Emma demanded.

"Sure love. I'm not complaining on having alone time with you, but why?" he asked.

"I'll explain in the car" she said, as they walked out the door.

They sat in the car, Hook immediately asking "so what is this for?"

"I told Ruby we'd go on the date as it's tonight at 9 so you need nice clothes" Emma said.

"I knew you want to go with me" Hook grinned.

She rolled her eyes, dragging him into the store. They got him a black collared shirt, a maroon vest, black pants, and black dress shoes.

"That looks nice" she smiled, as he stepped out of the dressing room.

He then changed back, holding his clothes in his hand.

"May I pick out something or you?" he asked with a grin.

"Fine" she rolled her eyes, as he handed her his clothes.

He came back ten minutes later with a red high waisted mid thigh dress that was flowy and sleeveless. He also was carrying high black heels.
