My name Kakashi Hatake and this is my love story! First I would like to welcome you to Konohagakure village. It is the hidden village of the Land of Fire. Konoha resides deep within a forest at the base of a mountain known as the Hokage Rock, which has the faces of all those who have taken the office of Hokage engraved into it. It is generally seen as the most powerful of the ninja villages, Konoha has enjoyed many years of relative peace and stability. But enough about that! My love story starts off on the first day that we first met when we were kids. It seemed like just another day in the village . I was training hard in the small glade also known as practice field three. It's  surrounded by woods on both sides along with a deep river. It gives you a pretty good view of the mountains. In the center three stumps lined side by side reside there and just below it is the memorial stone, a polished kunai-shaped structure that holds the names of many fallen Shinobi. I had just became a Jōnin and decided the best way to celebrate was with a little warm up. As my three shurikin  flew from my hand they each found there marks on one of the three post. I stood up straight pretty pleased with myself, and why shouldn't I be. At age seven I had already became a Jōnin, Most don't reach that until they're teens. I was a true prodigy. I started walking over to retrieve my shurikin back, when all of a sudden I felt a strong chakra presence approaching me fast from behind. My instincts kicked in. I pulled a Kunai from my hip pouch spinning around launching  my Kunai at the threat in one swift motion. I threw up a firestyle jetsu hand sign and took a stance at the ready, In case my Kunai wasn't enough. I watched my Kunai make contact then pass through the other side. The threat made a soft hissing sound before fluttering towards the ground and landing at my feet. I let myself relax once I realized it was nothing more than a blue deflated ball covered in white clouds. I picked it up studying it carefully, but why did I sense chakra coming from it. I was still holding the deflated ball when a young girl around my age came stumbling out of the woods. She was a bit shorter than me with long silver hair the same color as mine just past her shoulders, she was a little dangly looking. She was short of breath like she just ran a mile. As she turned to face me she was smiling, but it soon faded once her eyes fell towards the deflated ball in my hand.
She rushed at me with a scowl look on her face, clearing the short distance between us with ease.

"My ball, what did you do to it?" She asked.

Before snatching it away from me looking it over carefully and quickly finding the two holes my Kunai had made. She then turned her rage quickly back on me, waving the deflated ball in my face taking a step closer towards me.

"What gives you the right to break other people things?" She yelled.

I backed away shocked, throwing my hands up waving them back and fourth. Hoping it would make her keep her distance,

"It attacked me!" I pleaded.

That only seemed to make her even madder than before. She kept advancing while yelling again.

"Since when do balls attack people."

I had been so caught up making sure she didn't touch me that I didn't notice the large root sticking up out of the ground until I was falling backwards. It took me by such surprise I reached out to grab anything for support, but the only thing that I found was the angry girl standing over me. As I gripped her shirt tightly pulling her down with me her facial expression turned from anger to startled, we both hit the ground with a "oomph!" She laid sprawled out on top of me, her head buried in my shoulder. As she slowly   propped herself up on her knees a little bringing her face into view only a few inches from mine, her eyes were closed as she rubbed her head with the one free hand that wasn't rested on my chest.

She demanded a answer before she even opened her eyes.

"Hey, what's the big idea pulling me down with you?"

I laid there motionless under her. Not sure on how to reply or even move for that matter. Her eyes shot open when she got no immediate reply. Her eyes where a beautiful icy blue that seem to pull you in. As I started to realize how close her lips were from mine, I could feel my face getting hot. She must have realized it too, because she crawled backwards like she had just seen a ghost finally coming to a stop a few feet away.  She looked at me mortified crossing her arms across her absent chest covering it.

"So that was your plan all along!" She protested. I sat up quickly glaring at her, "As if! Your not my type anyway. I like a woman with more to offer up top."I replied.

Crossing my arms and looking away to prove a point.
Which must have been a bad idea, because at that moment I felt something nail me upside my head followed by a sharp pain. I rubbed at the spot where the pain radiated from glaring at her again. I noticed she was clutching  a rock in her hand, I assume that's what she hit me with a few seconds ago.  She was W-sitting on the ground still with a sad pouty look on her face, I couldn't tell if she wanted to cry or throw another rock at me. I decided it was just best if I just defused the situation all together. I gradually stood up sighing, as she watched my every move giving me a silent threat with her stare and gripping the rock tightly reminding me it's still there.  I looked up at the trees rubbing the back of my head nervously as I mummer the only thing that came into my mind.

"I'm sorry."

After a minute of silence passed I looked down at her expecting to still see that angry girl clutching the rock, but instead she was hiding her face with her sleeve covered hands. She had pulled her sleeves over her hands and was wiping away tears as they fell from her eyes leaving trails down her soft pink cheeks. She no longer held the rock, instead it laid beside her. Not sure of what I had said or did in the pass minute to upset her, I panicked. I knelt down beside her reaching out to place my hand on her shoulder but quickly pulled it back thinking maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea.

"If this is about the ball I'll buy you another one." I mummer.

She turned her head looking up at me, her sleeve covered hands still covering most of her face.
Her blue eyes had a blur to them as tears collected up before falling away and disappearing into her sleeves. A couple muffled sniffles escaped from her,

As I sat there kneeling beside this short silver haired girl watching her cry this strange feeling started to creep over me. It made me want to reach out taking her into my arms and comfort her. Make her feel like everything will be ok. I had never experienced this feeling before. It was strange and even a little scary.

The feeling got so strong it seemed to take over my movements, before I knew it I was stretching my hand out towards her face. Her eyes grew wide with uncertainty as my hand grew closer, my heart started to race as my finger tips got so close to her cheek that I could feel the heat coming from it where she had been crying. I heard a stern male voice call out a name in the distance

"Mookey!"

I glanced in the direction it originated from for a split second before returning my focus back on the crying girl only to find her spot occupied by air. The sound of a twig breaking towards the woods drew my attention, I caught a glimpse of her back as she vanished into the woods. I stood up staring at the spot she once sat in hoping that if I stared at it long enough she might reappear again or give me some idea of who the crying girl was.
