"Out of all the cool places I could be during Summer break, why the hell am I here?" Kyouko mumbled to herself as she slothfully tugged at the ribbon of her uniform.

Much to her disliking, the redhead was spending the early hours of her morning in a place that, in her opinion, was equivalent to hell.

Yes, my friends. She was at school.

Not on the track, but in the hallway just outside the classroom she'd been assigned to for supplementary classes.

Kyouko wasn't the one in need of the extra curriculum. She had already passed all of her exams with flying colors, and somehow managed to place in the top ten of her freshmen class.

Her only purpose for attending such an unneeded festivity was to help out the dimwitted teammates of her's who had somehow accomplished the task of failing all of their exams.

That's right. All of them.

Although pathetic, Kyouko had to applauded them on their ability to do such a thing.

There was a vast difference between stupidity and ignorance, but the boys who had trapped themselves inside a classroom instead of a white sandy beach over their Summer vacation had obviously fallen into the 'stupid' category.

Heath, Takeru, and Riku were the ones that had (unsurprisingly) flunked all of their exams. Kuga and Hozumi had only failed one exam, and Ayumu and Nana had passed all of their exams just like Kyouko.

Kyouko would've skipped out on the classes any other time so she could go train, but Dan-sensei had especially asked her to attend them. Same with Nana.

Ayumu would've been in the same boat as the girls, but he was preoccupied with the luxury of traveling back over to Europe to visit his dad, so he was able to flake out on Dan-sensei's request.

As student athletes, failing one's exams was considered 'unacceptable' and 'an embarrassment to Hônan Academy'.

Dan-sensei told his students that if they wanted to participate in EOS, they would have to buckle down and hit the books.

So, voila.

Kyouko and Nana had become the boys' personal tutors until they could get their shit together and pass their retake exams.

Fun, right?

Not for Kyouko.

For her, these supplementary lessons were going to be nothing but a huge pain in the tush. Not because of the boys, but because of something much more troublesome.

'Hell... this is hell.'

The sound of a classroom door sliding open made Kyouko pause in her walking. When she looked back to the source of the noise, she saw Riku sticking his cute little head out the door.

Instead of displaying his usual smile, his lips were pouted with confusion.

"Hey, Kyouko! Where are ya going? Weren't we about to start working on memorizing rhetorical terms?"
